Although Marv Johnson's R'n'B
original waxing hit the top five, Kidd's competent cover of this early
prototype Motown song featuring his
confident vocals became his third single
and managed to sell respectively enough to bring him back into the
charts after the complete failure of his previous offering. This
single was again the work of session men, although it sounds like
it could have been the first "trio" recording. Clem Catinni
states the first recording he took part in was actually "Shakin'
All Over". |
