Not really sure where the name came from, but whenever we thought it up, it stuck. Dan and Neal had written 'I Just Need My Space', and they got Dave to sing it for them. Things pretty much got rolling after that point. Inspiration came in some pretty strange forms. The entire album was recorded in a bathroom at ResCo on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis.
Denny's-Denny's was a frequent hangout of the band, and the inspiration for the first song off of the album.
I Just Need My Space-This song was inspired by actual events. I think Homer Simpson put it best when he said, "Dear Baby, welcome to Dumpville. Poulation: You."
Ballerina Queen-Quite possibly written under the influence of recreational pharmaceuticals.
Fer You-This is your stereotypical country song. It's got it all: ex-wives, pickup trucks, false teeth, and twisters.
Dave and Dan performing on the mall at Butler University
Rainbow Connection-Gimp's version of the classic Kermit the Frog tune.
Gimp-A tribute to a couple of gimps (not the good kind).
G.D.-An instrumental number inspired by a football team that used to play in Houston.
No Matter-Boy meets girl. Boy loses girl. Boy hunts girl down and kills her.
We saw this on the cover of some British band's album
D.H.B.-Stands for Damn Hotty Blonde. Those are the lyrics, too.
Andyland-Inspired by the infamous fourth member of Gimp.
