Columbine......oh my dear Columbine.  I am so sick of fucking hearing about Columbine, that I have to give my opinion.  I have heard from acquaintances that the local high schools have installed security cameras and hired security guards.  From now on, why don't we call school what it really is becoming- prison.  Militant education.  Give me a fucking break.  I blame this all on CNN.  All I saw on CNN for a month after Columbine was the replay of the Swat team outside, with kids running past the van.  Is there anything else happening in the world?  These kids became famous for doing something bad.  That is not a good image to feed to confused and repressed high school kids.  And then CNN has the balls to mention that the kids listened to Marilyn Manson and liked horror movies.  Boom!  Big scare in the entertainment industry.  Marilyn Manson has sold millions of records.  I happen to own two of them.  That does not mean I'm going to go on a shooting spree.  I'll tell you what I believe happened.  The kids parents, in one of their obviously rare moments of concern, heard what their kids were listening to, and saw how they dressed, and though, "Gee, that's not how the kids on TV dress."  So they went to their local Walmart and bought a Backstreet Boys cd thinking, these look like normal kids.  And they sing about such vague, innocent things.  Maybe my child will listen to them and try to be like them.  So they gave their kids the cd.  I know that if I were forced to listen to those fags for any length of time, I'd want to go fucking shoot somebody.  And I'd bet money that all the kids those guys shot look and dress much like those cocksucking boy bands do.  So leave the fucking kids be kids, not prisoners.  And place the blame were it belongs- with the parents who did not encourage the negative energy that their kids have toward something creative and productive.  Buy the kid a guitar, not a gun.  And blame the friends the kids had for selling them the guns.  Give these kids encouragement and advice, not a good deal.  Stop placing blame, and start being a parent.

The Onion- they did a great piece on Columbine.  Clicking here should take you straight to it.
