I
have been thinking quite a bit about marriage lately. Ever
since the Talk show bit, I've really had it on the brain. I had long
ago decided that I didn't want to get married. Or have kids. But
I have now modified that theory. I still do not plan on getting married.
I now plan on getting divorced. It seems ass backwards, I know.
Give it a chance. Everyone plans on getting married, but no one
ever plans on getting a divorce. But the statistics show that over
half of marriages end in divorce today. This means that if you get
married, you're more likely to get divorced than stay married. So in
the unlikely situation that I ever get married, I can almost guarantee you
it will end in a divorce. So when people say, "You never plan on getting
a divorce, things just happen to make the love between two people dissolve,"
I can say, "Bullshit. I planned on getting divorced all along." And
this way if the unlikely marriage survives, no one will be more surprised
than me. Fucked up logic at it's very best.
