I was watching CNN recently and heard about a small legal case in Michigan. A man was arrested and fined for using profanity in front of a small child. My first reaction was "They have a law for that?" Sure enough, there is a one-hundred year old law that prohibits the use of profanity in front of small children. And a court upheld the conviction! What kind of a fucking retard would not realize that the law violates the first amendment right to free speech? I only know a little bit of background on how it happened, but does it matter? Who should dictate what we can and cannot say. To me this is an absolute. I don't care what he said, I don't care what the circumstances are. You should be allowed to say whatever you want. To me this is just another sign of how this country is going to hell. And noone wants to stop it. I would do something if I lived in Michigan. Because if anyone ever tries to tell me what I can and cannot say, I will tell them to go fuck themselves. What an outrageous load of steaming horseshit.
