THE LATE '70s ALBUMS

During this period of Jethro Tull's existence, the late John Glascock took the place of Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond on the bass guitar, David Palmer joined the group as an official member-adding his rich orchestrations to JT's music.

Songs From The Wood · Heavy Horses · Live--Bursting Out · Storm Watch

Songs From The Wood     (1977)

Songs From The Wood could be considered sophisticated and worldly "Elizabethan" boogie! "Hunting Girl," "Songs From The Wood," "Pibroch," "The Whistler" and "Velvet Green" are magnificent! "Songs From The Wood" and "The Whistler" are found on Anniversary Collection!

Heavy Horses     (1978)

Though not as superb as its predecessor, this cd contains: "Heavy Horses" which can also be found on The Best Of Jethro Tull: The Anniversary Collection!

Live-- Bursting Out     (1978)

A great representation of Jethro Tull in concert! This live album showcases: "Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day" from Warchild, "Jack In The Green," "Songs From The Wood" and "A Hunting Girl" from Songs From The Wood. Also, "Cross-Eyed Mary," "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath" from Aqualung and an edited version of Thick As A Brick!

Stormwatch     (1979)

I have heard this album only twice, however this album contains: "Dun Rungill" which can also be found on Anniversary!
