Well David Blaine was born in Brooklyn New York. He started doing magic at the age of 4. His first trick was the Pencil Thru Card gizmo (that you can still buy.) At 10 his mother remarried and moved to New Jersey. At 16 David levitated for his doctor and immediately wanted to take him in for tests. His mother was very supportive with him and his magic, but unfortunally she died in 1994 when David was 21. He became noticed when he would walk up to people and do some magic for them. This was a great ice breaker. He then starting doing parties for rich people and got into the club sceen. That was when he was noticed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino. Now Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert Ne Niro have befriended him. After that he got an agent, made a crude home video with a friend and sent it to ABC. They gave him an interview and did some magic for them. They were dumbfounded and gave him a contract. Now he is a millionare and lives in a Manhattan apartment.

He has done to magic what Jordan did to basketball. He has set a new standard to what people expect. He gave me a love for magic that I once had at a very young age. How I have it again and bigger and better than before.
