the question that i hated being asked was what blue corridor sounded like. or who were blue corridor's influences.
each one of us had our own set of personal influences and collectively it meshed quite well. (i suppose on some days it sounded like the velvet underground meets this mortal coil's "blood" album, but i wouldn't say that we were quite as good as all that). our songs were never truly "completed", none of them seeing the light of day outside the garage, and very few making it to cassette tape. we would play the slow songs fast and the fast songs slow often for variety.
here is a list and lyrics to some of blue corridor's repitoire
Across the Night
and all across the night
all the shadows open wide
all across the night
all that remains is my stupid pride
i fear your hands in the light
i fear your eyes like knives
and all that remains is your face
and the beauty of your demise
all...across the night
all across the night
all across the night
(something to that effect anyway)
A Dove in the Rafters (lyrics by benjamin)
so now
when all the lies are true
and we shall never speak again
i can't find the strength
i can't find the strength to reveal my pain to you
a dove in the rafters is all you'll ever be
so beautiful
so far from me
somewhere on a cold night
you lie with someone else
somewhere in a cold world
you dream of someone else
a dove in the rafters is all you'll ever be
so beautiful
so far from my reach
on a cold winter's day
on a cold winter's day

Make Me Feel Again
dancing always dancing
beneath me or above
with me against me
and what i've become
a whisper in a dark place
reminds me where i am
i need you to be here
make me feel again
i see you in the streets
we don't say a word
i wonder if it's about the
things that you might have heard
i wish i could be
