13/3/99 I've put up some pictures of Lauren from Never Mind The Buzzcocks which were donated by Jo who is great.

28/2/99 Oh dear...I;ve been lazy, sorry dears. Anyway since the last time lots has kind of happened...Shimmy started, I've been twice, it's great, everyone should go. Rosita, Marie and Emmy-Kate's new band are apparently sorting themselves out with record companies and the like and the brand new Martini Rosits site, run by me and Ruth, has started (link on main page, I can't remeber the URL
Chris are still keeping quiet. Which is not good, but they will be so that's fine).

I'm off now to sort out some new links and change some old backgrounds.

19/11/98 I've done a pretty major revamp to the main page as you may have seen.

I've been lazy and haven't actually said much but KENICKIE HAVE SPLIT! There's rumours of a new band called 'Chris' featuring Lauren Laverne (or maybe Gofton now), Pete Gofton, DJ Downfall (who did some remixes on the last couple of singles. Marie and Emmy-Kate did a DJ thing in London recently, I didn't go and I regret this, but other than that there's no news yet about what they'll be doing. Anyway I did a tribute thing which you can look at if you want.

10/10/98 I've put up The Copulate Show from the Melody Maker and a picture of Lauren up. 30/9/98 I've put some more pictures up, in the girls, Lauren and Marie bits. I'm going to try and type up the article from this weeks Melody Maker tonight, but I might not do it, depends on my mood. And another thing there seems to be a bit of a problem with some Kenickie Caravan logo picture things but it might just be my computer I'm not sure anyway if it hasn't cleared up in the next few days I might start to fiddle with them.

19/9/98 I've put up 'Our Absinthe Friends' (complete with pictures which are also in the Gallery bit) from Select. I've also put up most of the signed stuff I got from reading in the Other Pictures bit.

6/9/98 I've put the lyrics to Get In and Hooray For Everything up.

5/9/98 I've done some things on the main page and added a load of pictures. The Get In lyrics are coming soon, along with some other stuff I've been meaning to update for ages.

17/8/98 I've put a whole load of pictures up, and some Kenickie Cards too. This means that slowly all the stolen pictures will start to come down, starting with that one up there.

Tommorow (18/8/98) theres a Kenickie on-line chat at Virgin 7.00-8.00pm. Stay In The Sun didn't do too well yesterday, I don't even know where it charted but it wasn't in the top 40, this is bad. And theres a load of new tour dates, they'll be up here soon but I can never really be bothered typing up tour dates. Oh and Reading's in a couple of weeks, Kenickie are playing on Friday and I've got my ticket.

1/8/98 The release of Stay In The Sun has been delayed, I think it's just a week which would mean it's out in 2 days, but it might have been 2 weeks...that would be very bad.
There's new tour dates, which I haven't got to hand but they are on KFC so go there. I'll be at the Astoria if you want to say hello.

I've added Sophie from theaudience's comments to this and I've put a few more links up.

12/7/98 Lauren Laverne (at least I think it's her) has signed the Kenickie Caravan guestbook. This is a good thing. A very good thing. Anyway this is the message.

Comments: Hello there, well done on your lovely page. I like it very much and in fact if I had an actual caravan it would be very much like this. Actually, the other day I had a dream where me and Emma lived in caraans next door to each other and she was an ex member of a religious cult ad the cult leader lived in the next caravan along from her and tried to kill her so I saved her. it was really wierd especially because the caravans were like the ones that were on the site we went to when I was little. Anyway, that was rather off the point. I just thought I'd let you know what was going on in the world of our group. Well, we have been up and down the country doing a radio tour which isn't exactly my favourite thing to do, but there was one good evening whe we were in Brighton, it was after 12 and we had no fairground tokens, and we were stunned to discover that ride operators in that area are shockingly unsusceptible to bribary. the ferris wheel, therefore, was not an option. Luckily some lapse in concentration meant that whoever's job it was had forgotten to unplug the kiddie rides - budgie th helicopter and such. Emma and Jackie (our lovely radio representative) rode away, but no sooner did Marie and myself take the reins, than the police came along and threw us off. Pah! Anyhoo, we had a go on one of those coin-pushing-off the end and win 1000 10ps machines and marie found a giant plastic horse to ride on. It was good, then we went and challenged the sea to a fight. It won. So I had that odd caravan dream and woke up in this mad faux regency hotel room (Queens' hotel) which sucked to be honest. We got up, went to Southend, went to Cardiff, went to London, and flew to Newcastle. It was a long day. that's why we looked literally mashed on "mashed". we'd had to get up again at 6.30 after all that and talk to puppets. I didn't watch it (cos it was live) but I got home and my baby cousin had apparently been clapping and waving at the screen, so at least someone enjoyed it. Our next plans our some more tv promotion and radio 1 roadshows, to promote the single which everyone at the record company is convinced should be a hit, but I know that won't happen. Anyway, so we're doing that, then Reading which should be pretty good, except we haven't rehearsed for ages. So reading, then the gig with Ash in Belfast on the first of august. After that all I want to do is get the album out so that youse can have it, it will represent Kenickie. I hope you all enjoy it, because I like it, even though it's been recorded since December or whenever. The cover art's ace. This designer called Nick did it, and I like his stuff a lot. Anyway take care and be good to eachother. love Lauren xxx

11/7/98 I've added the new Kenickie Comments section, which suprisingly enough contains comments about Kenickie, these ones are from my friends and family, or so far my mum and a person I've known for 2 weeks, but y'know what I mean.

8/7/98 I've added this picture to the opening page.

5/7/98 I've put up a new article from the Eveing Standard, I typed it up yesterday but my computer crashed and I lost it, so you have to read it just because I've typed it up again and someone has to read it or there won't have been much point. Does that makes sense?

21/6/98

Pete Goften is number 16 in the on-line poll to 'Elect the most remarkable person in the last two milleniums.'

He only has 0.4% of the vote so go and vote for him again, I just have. To get to number 2 (where Billy Corgan now sits) all he needs is another 24%, it can't be THAT hard, can it? Anyway go there's a link to the site on the main page which is here, I can't be bothered typing the whole thing out in here, it's too long.

19/6/98 I've put some pictures and things up, which is good.

Single and album release dates have been announced, but I can't really remeber them, I think the single, Stay In The Sun, is out in the middle of July and the album, Get In, is out on the 10th of August, but I could very well be wrong.

14/6/98 I've put some more lyrics up.

Lauren and Johnny X have been round to the Planet Kenickie, Spirtual home of Kenickie and KFC message boards/guestbooks I can't be bothered putting links up but you can find them here

6/6/98 On Chris Moyles' show this morning a new single 'Stay In The Sun' (I think) out in July was mentioned there was also a mention of another tour. Very good news.

Theres a new article here and another thing in here.

31/5/98

I Would Fix You crashes into the top 40 at...erm..number 36, what is wrong with this picture?

I've put some more lyrics up, it's b-sides (some old, some new) and I Would Fix You. Over the next week or so I'll try and put up the Evening Session lyrics and some new articles up but I've got exams so...

25/5/98 I've put up another I would fix You review, I'll put another couple up tonight too, and a few other little things. I've added some more things to the have you seen kenickie? thing but I can't be bothered saying that in here anymore, so it'll be updated more often that this, probably.

I Would Fix You was is out now, shame it's a bank holiday and I can't get it yet though, also Kenickie played in Reading last night and are touring for a couple of weeks, they've found a new drummer and keyboard player, but this is old news.

16/5/98 Theres a couple more things in the Have you seen Kenickie? thing.

10/5/98 I've added an I Would Fix You review from X-Rated and I've changed the colours and stuff, I'm bored of the black, but you can see that already can't you?

Kenickie came third in the Song For Eurotrash contest last week after Bananmrama and Sinnead O'Conner & Terry Hall.

6/5/98 I've added a new article thing, it's kind of a review but kind of not, if you know what I mean.

3/5/98 I've done some of the MM Easter thing, but not all.

1/5/98 I've added a couple of little things to the articles thing, but nothing to get excited about, I still haven't finished the Easter thing or the X-Rated transcript, sorry, sorry and sorry again.

26/4/98 Kenickie are on the Alternative Eurovision thing soon, and the album that goes with it, I'm not sure exactly when it is, I'll put it up when I find out though.

25/4/98 I've put a couple of new links up and I still haven't finished that MM Easter thing that I have claimed to do in the past, thus proving you can not trust a single word I say.
Although you can trust me when I say I Would Fix You, the new Kenickie single is out on May the 18th, it is very good indeed, buy it and send it flying to the top of the charts where it deserves to be. And I forgot to say last time that I've put the tour dates up in the Have You Seen Kenickie? thing, but you probably know them off by heart already, unfortunatly I won't be going to the Electric Ballroom thanks to exams, a Garbage gig the day after and my own feebelness (that can't be spelt right, can it?).

8/4/98 I've put some things on the Have You Seen Kenickie? page and done another article - the thing from this weeks Melody Maker where Marie is testing easter eggs.

4/4/98 The Kenickie Caravan is back on the road. I've added all sorts of things - lyrics, profiles, more articles and other things. Not everything is exactly finished but most of its done. I'll be adding more stuff soon.

A tour's been announced but tickets don't appear to be on sale yet (not in London anyway). Lauren was on Never Mind The Buzzcocks last night, she was good, but not as good as the other time she was on, which isn't a suprise considering exactly how good she was.

15/3/98The gossip going round the other Kenickie pages at the moment is that the new single will be I Will Fix You, which is a very good song, but it is also a bit of a bad thing coz we've already heard that one and I know we're all dying for something new, or even newer anyway aren't we?

News on The Kenickie Caravan front is that I am working on lots of things and have even finished some but I am determind to be patient this time so I am going to put them all up at the same time thus making this place good, well that's the plan anyway.

26/2/98Lauren Laverne is going to be on channel 4's Light Lunch tommorow at 12.30.
The new Kenickie album Get In is due out some time around May I think, but I may be wrong. More details on most of the other Kenickie site's and have been for ages so you should probably go and look at them (Matts page and Kenix TV seem to have the best gossip. You'll find links to them in... The Kitchen of Kenickie Connections)
