LONDON TOWN

(Dendak and Gerber)

When I was young, I took a ride on the .... music waves.
I still see me listening to my grandpa Poole... sit and play.
Then he would tell me stories of his travels and ... I would sit and stare.
Then he'd talk of London and the times he had when he was there.

They went down to London town - Kate, God, and He.
There were people everywhere, singing three part harmony.
They were so happy and so full of life, and he shot right to the top.
They went down to London town & that's where his music stopped.

Time goes by like the wind does blow.
Music has since filled my soul.
As I grew I stood before the world as a ... man to be
Pressures of the boy to man experience... said to me
"Oh as you know you're gonna have to pay your way... what you gonna be?"
Deep in my soul all that I could hear was this... melody.

Downtown in London town I'd like to try and make a stand.
All the people that I've ever known say I got magic in my head.
It would be good for me to jam it there - it would give me peace of mind.
I wanna go down to London town so I can at least say I tried.

Time goes by like the wind does blow - music still is in my soul.
I still dream of London town - I know my feet still aren't on the ground.
Even now I close my eyes and I can hear ... "won't you come with me".
I soar so high on music in the sky until I ... come to see

Downtown in London town just God and me.
There are people singing everywhere - a perfect three-part-harmony.
I am so happy and so full of life I just shoot right to the top.
I'm playing music down to London town but the alarm makes my dream stop.

Going down to London town and I know my feet still aren't on the ground.

London Town falling down.
