Sockeye were a notorious band that played around Northeast Ohio mainly in the late 80s. Their live shows were infamous for being drunk, sloppy and stupid - and with a crowd to match. Sockeye achieved some popularity worldwide thanks to zines giving good reviews to self-released cassettes such as "The Loony Misadventures of Your Dick" and "Your Mother Downey Jr.". Sockeye were a band purely driven by humor - but lots of people didn't understand and took quite a bit of offense! That didn't stop em though, even though they no longer play live shows - they still record and put out releases to this day.
