Chicago's Fig Dish is getting into the adult film business in their new video for "When Shirts Get Tight" from their recent A&M album, When Shove Goes Back to Push.

Porn star Jon Dough, who is friends with Randy Sosin in A&M's creative department, is directing the video over three days in Los Angeles this week with fellow porn stars Chasey Lain, Lexus, and Jenteal in the starring roles.

But ironically, Fig Dish's co-lead singer/guitarist Rick Ness hasn't exactly mustered up the appropriate, uh, excitement on the set. "It's weird," he says. "It's like not like this amazing erotic event. It's not like we're foaming at the mouth or being uncontrollably horny. Once you're actually on the set there's all these people watching, so getting aroused isn't even an issue. It's not even a possibility."

Here's the storyline: The four Fig Dish guys think they're going to their video shoot, but they take a wrong turn and end up at a house where a porn movie is being filmed. The porn makers were expecting four male actors to arrive, so they mistake the band members for actors, and the band reluctantly plays along.

"We're doing two versions of the video," says Ness. "The normal one, where nothing's revealed. I mean, when there is nudity, it's covered, like how Austin Powers did it. We'll use guitar necks, and hands and arms to cover the nudity. It's kind of a spoof of that, and it's also a spoof of old porn movies. We have a pizza delivery guy, a cop, a referee ... that dumb stuff."

So is Fig Dish going to rise to the occasion and actually take their clothes off? "I can't comment," laughs Ness. "The shooting's not done yet, so I'm not sure... The second version will be something that normal TV stations can't play, but there's no penetration, just nudity."
