This Time Around A review of This Time Around from Worldpop.com:

It’s their first full studio album in three years and the pure pop of MMMBop has been replaced with heavier guitars, scratches and even a few ballads. The end result is an album that will keep your toes tapping, but may be less palatable to younger fans. To counteract this, Hanson made the unusual choice to release two singles upfront – the guitar-based title track for rawk-lovin’ America and the safer, poppier If Only for the rest of the world.

After their first album showcased lead singer Taylor’s high-pitched vocals, non-believers were quick to predict the brothers’ demise when puberty hit. But from the fine vocals evident here, Hanson have other things in mind than early retirement. And don’t bother calling them a boy band, cos the brothers are handy on the instruments and share songwriting credits too.

Enough potential singles here – Save Me, Can’t Stop, You Never Know and Sure About it – to warrant at least one spin in your CD player … even if the youngest Hanson, Zac, was only in nappies when you started high school. Go on, you know you want to.
