Hail from Greece, Rotting Christ is well known among Black Metal Horde for their music and style.  Although many of the Greece's Black Metal band sounds alike, but Rotting Christ has their own kind of sound and music which make them differ from other bands.  I remembered the time when my friend said that there was a band named Rotting Christ, I laughed at him and told him that it was not Rotting Christ but Rotting Corpse.  After a few weeks, I read about them in one of the local fanzine and since then, this band has come to my knowledge.  At first, I thought their music was in the vein of all the Norwegian's Black Metal band, but after Passage to Arcturo was in my possession, then I realized how different they sound from other Black Metal band.   Rotting Christ has evolved from one album to another and their previous release, Dead Poem is sure a masterpiece of evil.  Very melodic and dark.
