Well why do I like the Beatles. About two years ago, I did not even know who they were. I only knew that they were the "She Loves You" group. I didn't even know they were from England. When I was a high school senior, a friend of mine loves the Beatles. I called her crazy. Who are these Beatle people anyway?
When I got to college another guy in my music theory class kept bringing them up so I decided to do some research. I studied them in cronological order and almost quit my research when I heard the pitifully pathetic Love Me Do. But when I heard Please Please me and All My Loving I was hooked on what I thought was a classic sixties group. I went on to find out that they were a whole lot more.
My school library has almost all the Beatles albums on CD plus they also had both Past Masters. In only a few weeks I was a certified Beatlemaniac. I began collecting their pictures and hanging them up in my dorm room. My roommate must have thought I was some kind of a nut. I was particularly in love with Paul. Not just because he was cute (he was absolutely gorgeous) but because he was a bass player. And his playing only improved with time. I found that his playing was the only one that did improve with time. I find the bass to be an extremely powerful instrument. As the Beatles well knew having a crappy bass player can hold your group back like nothing else can.
