The Walks Under A Northern Sky album takes off in two directions: English & Russian. The interpolation of the two languages creates a unique cultural statement. The same can be said about the musical structures of the album where seemingly incompatible musical genres are harmoniously fused together.

There's the post-industrial sound of the 90's with a shade of the psychedelic, offset by the sunny & light tones reminiscent of Disco & R&B, brought in by Lou Christie.

Lou Christie, Judy Peabody, Elena Tchernichova &
Vladimir Malakhov invite you to view new paintings by
DMITRI STRIZHOV at ArtScape, 24 West 57th Street, NYC.

The exhibition will be open November 5-25,
Monday-Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm.

Dmitri Strizhov was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Russia in 1976
and emigrated to the United States in 1990.

His paintings have been celebrated for their visual and literary poetry. He creates a mythological world by combining figurative and abstract elements that are juxtaposed with brilliant planes and secondary colors.

This current exhibit coincides with the publication of STRIZHOV, a book about his work, with text written by the noted art critic Robert C. Morgan.
The book also features paintings by LOU CHRISTIE.
