About The GlamourDemon

Well, the first thing one should learn about me is that I am the laziest person alive. In fact, I am so lazy that, were one to somehow observe me for a period of time without being detected, it would certainly be difficult to tell whether or not I actually was alive. But seriously.

The best way I can think of to present information about myself whilst maintaining some sliver of dignity (not to mention humility) is to do so by describing myself in relation to other things.

Things That Make Glammy Scream

Her Girl -- I'd tell you her name, but then she'd have to kill me. This is what she looks like:
I love her very much, and she loves me, too. It's a shame I'm not as sexy as Jarvis Cocker, or we'd really have something. She likes my writing. So there. It may seem odd that I don't have much to say about someone with whom I claim to be madly in love, but really I'm just afraid she'll get mad at me for being too idealistic and, well, mushy. I can't win! Give us a smile, love.

David Bowie -- The man. Er.. woman. erm. Well. You know how that goes. This is what he looked like in the early '80s:
You know you're obsessed with Bowie he comes second only to your beloved and you feel the need to put various pictures of him on a totally unrelated web site. You also know you're obsessed with Bowie when you link to mookid loves Bowie from your writing page and not from your Bowie page.

Elvis Costello -- Elvis is so cute that the only way I can think to describe him is like this:

However, Elvis is more than just another pretty face (more than just this year's -- or, rather, 1977's -- model, if you will). He deserves to have much more said about him, but when it comes to describing my idols I clam up and become an inarticulate ball of butch fluff. Soooo... all I can say is that he's one of the greatest modern songwriters ever AND he's got a killer voice. Did I mention he's also cute as a button? Why yes, I guess I did. Anyway.

Music -- Yes, as one might have already surmised (there were so many hints! you should have seen it coming!), The GlamourDemon's life revolves around music. "My name is Glam D. and.. I ... I'm a rockaholic. *sob*" Shameful, I know. Sure, you'd like to assume that a great writer (ha, ha) such as meself would be obsessed with books, literature, the written word.. toiling for hours on end in an effort to tame the english language into something both beautiful and lucrative... Sorry. She's really just listening to old rock'n'roll records and playing computer solitaire. I don't want to clog this page with a bunch of ranting about my favorite groups and all that, so if you want to know more, you'll have to take these links:

The GlamourDemon's Bowie Shrine Yes, folks, the very same. It hasn't been updated in ages, but it's pretty cute (so I hear), and Bowie is a god. Go.. find the infamous Rocky Horror 121, cute pics of Davey, and lots of links to people who are even more insane than I am. Seriously.

The GlamourDemon's Music Heaven >Well, as I said, I'm obsessed with music. I don't like to narrow my tastes into specific genres simply for the purposes of communicating them to the world (how insulting that would be!), so I've decided to just do what I will usually do when asked, "What kind of music do you listen to?", which is this: LIST FAVES. Yep. Everybody loves to list things, and I love to go on and on about my favorite singers, songwriters, bands and records... so you're either in for a treat or a well-deserved nap.

more coming soon..
