Gimme Some Lovin’/Shake a Tail Feather:
Don’t the first few notes just give you chills? I hate this album, because I start to understand what Australia missed out on. If you know these two songs (as I do) it’s really exciting hearing Hanson sing them. I dance up a storm with this one (or at least try to).
Where’s The Love:
This song actually comes up quite good live. Isaac’s guitar solo….oh man it rocks! And the way the song starts up again at the end with more cool guitar is very cool if you love this song.
River:
Wow, this song is so much better than it was on 3 Car Garage that it’s graduated to a favourite instead of an ‘ok’. The harmonies work much better. But what really really makes this song is the new bridge. Wow, I absolutely love it! I think I’ve worn out that part of the CD! Awesome!
I Will Come To You:
Ok um, wow. I have to say right here, full credit to Hanson for the amazing quality of voice they’ve developed. They’ve come a long way. The vocals are gorgeous in this song…every note. I love this song, and this version is one of my favourites.
Ever Lonely:
This has become one of my favourite Hanson songs. It should’ve been on MON. The vocals are fantastic. Singing along is like a dream. Plus the lyrics are great and relatable. Unreal guitar solo. My favourite part is "You’ve gotta keep trying even though the road gets hard. You gotta keep going on even though he broke your heart." It’s awesome. Great song.
Speechless:
Oh. I’m not a big fan of this song. Ok, I admit it sounds better in this live version, but….hmm…still not growing on me...much.
With You In Your Dreams:
Oh here we go. First, the piano work. It’s divine. Secondly, the vocals. They’re surreal. Hanson have done a fantastic job on this song. I think in many places it sounds better than on MON…and that’s a huge compliment.
A Minute Without You:
Yay! Woah what a shock after ‘With You In Your Dreams’! Ok this is where I start jumping around the room yelling. How awesome is this song? You can hear the harmonies way more clearly in the live version, and they’re great.
Money (That’s What I Want):
Ohh man this song is fun. The piano intro just starts, and you go…this is so cool! The Hanson version of this song is really good. I like it.
More Than Anything:
Ok. Well, wow. This is Isaac’s moment of glory, and no wonder. The lyrics are to die for. The piano work is beautiful. The song is just divine, from start to finish. My favourite part is "I’d do things that can’t be done. I’d fly to the moon and then around the sun, if you’ll just say that I’m the one. I’d do anything." Stunning.
MMMBop:
YAY! Let’s dance! Like with some others songs, you can hear the harmonies more clearly live, and they sound great. Not much else to say here….what can you say?….it’s MMMBop!!!!
Man From Milwaukee:
This song came up good live. Great vocals. This is such a cool song, and a great finish to the album.
