Snowed In

SNOWED IN

Christmas 1997

Merry Christmas Baby:

This song kick starts you into the Christmas mood. Just um…a common little diction problem we often have. I wouldn’t have worked out some of those lyrics in a million years! (Thankyou internet!) But apart from that, a great song to get you going.

What Christmas Means To Me:

This is one of my favourites. What a great song!! Sing, yell, dance and go mental with this one. I love it. The best part is "and a happy…happy new year...ohhhhh. So let’s deck the halls with holly, singing silent night…" It’s just such an exciting song, if you play it first thing in the morning you’ll be happy all day. Trust me.

Little Saint Nick:

For some reason this song never really grew on me. I was never a big fan of it anyway. However, Hanson’s vocals are fantastic, and that’s the reason I listen to it.

At Christmas:
(written by Hanson)

Oh, this is just SO Christmas. The lyrics are gorgeous…especially the "A Christmas hope will be inspired" part. And there are beautiful vocals as well, just to top it off. I like the strong use of acoustic guitar and strings…it’s really really nice.

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

I really like this song. I love the part "I remember when you were here and all the fun that we had last year." It’s actually a very repetitive song, but you don’t seem to notice it…probably due to the great vocals and that I’m too busy dancing to notice!

Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

I grew up with this song, which made it very exciting to hear it on this album. It’s a great song, and I’ll always love it. The occasional bit of Hanson harmony just made it even more exciting…plus the awesome Guitar and Sax solos.

Christmas Time:
(written by Hanson)

This and ‘At Christmas’ are both fantastic songs…full credit to Hanson on these. However, I enjoy Christmas Time just that little bit more. The lyrics of this song are my favourites on the entire album. If I started listing my favourite parts, I’d write out the entire song. People aren’t always so divinely happy at Christmas, and this song presents that extremely well, as well as getting the message across that "in your heart you’ll find the season" and you will be ok. I love it, I really do.

Here Comes Santa Claus:
(written by Hanson)

This is not one of my favourites. It never really grew on me, and the lyrics are pretty strange. I think it was a bit of a mistake to put this song after ‘Christmas Time’, which is one of the best.

Run Rudolf Run:

This song is amazing!! All instruments are used perfectly in this song, and it really really comes off well. The guitar and piano solos are fantastic. The lyrics are just so fun to sing…especially in the chorus. Let’s rock n’ roll!!!! heh heh!

Silent Night Medley:

My favourite song of the album. O Holy Night is my favourite Christmas carol and I was ecstatic to see that it was on Snowed In. The Hanson vocals shine in this song. They are divine. My grandparents are wild about this song, and demand I play it every Christmas Day. Plus…what a great medley!! I have seen many Christmas medleys fail, but this one seems perfect. Full credit to whoever put it together, because this song is a highlight of the album. Thankyou Hanson.

White Christmas:

I love this song. But, although I know Hanson were trying to be different, I would have preferred this song without the ‘old’ effect. I just think it would have been nicer. However, a song with perfect vocals such as this cannot ever really be dismissed…so yeah…still worth hearing.
