I had the opportunity to see you perform with Yanni twice in Tampa a few years ago and was lucky enough to get to chat with you for a few minutes after one of your performances. You autographed a picture for me which still hangs on the wall in my office. I was disappointed to learn that you are no longer with Yanni -- although I really don't follow Yanni myself anymore because I got tired of buying new CDs that had mostly old songs on them! I just happened to be in the office today (no PC at home) doing some non-work web searches and thought I'd try once again to see if I could locate you. I have never been impressed with a drummer before, but seeing you perform was impressive. Not only do you have a tremendous talent, but it is a joy to watch you because you seem to really be enjoying what you do. I wish you luck with your new band, Plain James, and hope that you will have the success you are so deserving of. |

I'm also a percussionist, & was in the High School Band being the 1st female drum section leader, 1st female student conductor, & 1st female band officer in a ity where J P. Sousa had started the original H.S. Bands & where the members were primarily male. Believe it or not, after H.S., I moved to Florida & was in a Rock group & also played in symphonies. I'm glad Chuck stayed with it. Since having my boys [14yrs ago] I really haven't played since, & I MISS IT!!! Thanks for the memories Chuck!! |

Comments: We have ALL of Yanni's CD's. Of all the music we have, his are the most listened to. Also like the CD I received from Charlie after we saw Yanni's concert here in Tulsa. Wasn't it the third time he's been here? And we'll see him again if he returns. We do 't really have a favorite song as we love them all. Also love Aria. I tell ya, that 'Mona Lisa'? I don't know if you remember me but I was the kid in the adidas shirt w/ the wild hair and the eyebrow ring....my night couldn't have been more spectacular...th nks a lot... I was nervous!! Comments: Hi guys, My whole family was in Richmond, Kentucky, at the EKU Percussive Arts Day, February 14, 1998. The highlight of the day was Charlie Adams! I am so glad we stayed the whole day. My daughter is a Fabulous Leopard Percussionist and they played there at 10: 0 AM. We stayed the whole day even though at one point the kids started to get bored. Wow, when Charlie Adams came on stage and started drumming that stopped instantly. I think we all just sat there with our mouths hanging open. As a former student of Charlie's going back to his teaching days in Joliet, Ill. at good old George Kay's Music (and later in his basement "Pad" at his parent's house), I am always happy to hear about him starting a new venture. Comments: Well, my favorite drummer, I am sorry, has to go to my father. He has played on numerous areas and is extremely talented. It is his love of percussion that aroused my interest in music. However, I only watched "Marching Season" a million time . I, being in Marching Band, have a fondness for percussion, and I adored the solo. I am always impressed with one handed rolls. Comments: We took our son, Sean( who is 14) to his first concert last February at Foxwoods to see Yanni and were disappointed when you weren't there.
