Newton's third law states :
Whenever one object exerts a force on a second object,
the second object exerts an equal and opposite force on
the first object. One force is called the

ACTION FORCE
and the other is called the
REACTION FORCE

  • Action: Object A exerts a force on object B
  • Reaction: Object B exerts a force on object A

Newton's Third Law is often stated:
"To every action there is always opposed and equal reaction."

The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces
on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. The direction of the force on the first object is opposite to the direction of the force on the second object.
