So don't close your eyes and don't try to hide, or a silly spook may sit by your side. Shrouded in a daft disguise, they pretend to terrorize. Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize!

The avi clip is from the bridge, "Thank you for turning on the light...".

The video was filmed at the Stefani grandparents' home in the original Mother Colony of Anaheim. Although it's been remodeled, the house still has the old school flavor of the early part of this century, typical of the dozens of homes built in this area at the time.

The guy lying on the ground is none other than Eric Stefani, former keyboardist for No Doubt. He left the group just after the completion of Tragic Kingdom because he felt the band should stick to ska, whereas everyone else in the group wanted to proceed with rock. When I spoke to him a year ago, he was starting up a dixieland band, and was no longer cartooning for the Simpsons.

The market Gwen walks to has been an Anaheim landmark for almost eighty years. It is still called M+M Market, and has changed hands only a few times. You can buy tomato "salsa" there, but not with Gwen on the label!

Sitting behind the counter is Gwen's grandpa. You wouldn't find him there if you actually visited, since he doesn't work at the market. You might, however, find the boy and girl since they are the owner's children.

The stranger who happens to stop by and watch is Terry Hall of the legendary british ska band, the Specials. The Specials continue to write and tour, although Hall is no longer with the group. No Doubt covers their songs "Ghost Town", "A Message to You Rudy", and "Gangsters"
