Captain America #231 (as Grand Director)
Final Appearance: Captain America #236
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 240 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde
Strength Level: Captain America IV possessed superhuman strength (unlike Captain America I), enabling him to lift (press) about 1 ton.
Powers: None, apart from his superhuman strength.
Abilities: Captain America IV had agility, speed, endurance and reaction time superior to any Olympic athlete who ever competed. The Super-Soldier serum that he metabolized enhanced all of his bodily functions to the peak of human efficiency. Notably, his body eliminated the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him phenomenal endurance.
Captain America IV was a brilliant hand-to-hand combatant, especially skilled in American-style boxing, although he was not the equal of Captain America I.
Weapons: Captain America IV carried a shield that outwardly resembled the original Captain America's shield. However, Captain America IV's shield was composed of ordinary, but bulletproof, steel and hence was far more capable of being damaged than Captain America I's unique, virtually indestructable shield.
Paraphernalia: Like Captain America I, Captain America IV wore a costume incorporating chain mail. The stripes on Captain America IV's costume did not go all around his waist as the stripes on the original Captain America's costume do his.
