"Nick, get out here!" Brian yelled, two days later from Kevin's front yard. Nick came running out of Kevin's house.
"What up Frick?" Nick asked.
"I want you to meet Dallas," Brian said.
"At long last," Nick said. "I've heard a lot about you. And I'm sure to hear more. It's a pleasure to meet you."
They shook hands and Dallas said, "It's good to meet you too Nick. I haven't heard much about you, but I'm sure I will."
"I hope so," Nick said. "You seem to make old B-Rok happy."
"I hope I do," Dallas said.
Nick watched Brian and Dallas and smiled. He had seen Brian infatuated, but he knew whatever Brian had with Dallas was real.
"Why are you smiling?" Brian asked.
"You guys look so happy," Nick said. "So I guess I'm happy for ya."
"Oh, how sweet," Dallas cooed.
Brian and Nick both blushed. They knew they'd do just about anything for each other. It was like they were meant to meet and become best friends.
"So whatcha guys doin tonight?" Nick asked.
Brian began to say that they were going out for dinner, but Dallas said, "I'm taking the two of you to the arcade Brian was telling me about."
Brian stared at Dallas. She knew it had been awhile since he and Nick had had a chance to go have some fun. She gave up her own time with him to make his best friend happy. He smiled at her and she nodded.
"What a lucky guy you are Frick," Nick said. "Your girlfriend is cool. I don't think Erica would ever take me to an arcade."
"She always was cool Frack," Brian said. "You go get ready to go to the arcade."
"Alrighty then," Nick said, running into Kevin's house to change.
Brian went and kissed Dallas. "Nick's right, I'm lucky."
"Just remember that," Dallas said.
"I will."
