Acts 1 + 2
Act:1 Scene:1 (Streets of Toronto)
(This scene is animated. It looks like School House Rock meets The Brady Kids meets Yellow Submarine the Credits roll over this and music is playing)
(Starts with a close up of Sloan's walking feet. It pans back to show Sloan walking together.)
(People are walking, driving and riding bikes by Sloan. Everyone is smiling and waving.)
(Everybody lines up and breaks into a highly choreographed disco dance.)
(Somebody throws Sloan their instruments and they start to play in the middle of the street.)
(Trolley-cars with ‘smiling faces' ride by)
(All of a sudden there is a loud ringing noise. The scene disappears like a popping bubble.)
Act:1 Scene:2 (The Sloan Bus)
(Chris wakes up from his animated dream. He yawns)
(Mike Nelson, Sloan and Bunny the Bus Driver are on the bus)
Mike: Good, Chris is awake. Guys do I have news for you! (Mike sits down, he looks excited and happy)
Patrick: Oh? (He says this uncertainly and raises his eyebrow)
Mike: Oh yeah! I booked you guys a great gig (looks around) on a cruise ship!
Chris: Oh God no! Last time I was on a cruise ship I lost my, beautiful, beautiful glasses! (He says this over dramatically)
Jay: And I think I'm allergic to shellfish...
Andrew:(untranslatable mumbling)
Patrick: M'kay...(He looks away from Andrew with his head down and his eyebrow raised. Jay and Chris look at each other, trying not to laugh.)
Mike: Well, you guys, you are doing this gig...
Bunny the Bus Driver: (In Newfoundland accent) Eh, Mike, don't you want me to take these boys to that gosh darned Chart photo shoot?...
Act:2 Scene:1 (Chart)
(Sloan arrives at Chart, ready for there shoot, they see a rack of Teddy Bear costumes, they look at each other with frightened looks. A very hip European photographer comes out and runs out to the boys.)
Sugar the Photographer: (In French accent) Ooh! Bonjour, Sloan! I am Sugar (snaps fingers). Are you ready? Get into your costumes, boys.
Sloan: huh?
Andrew: You expect us to wear these? (He gives Sugar the evil eye)
Sugar: But of course, you will be so cute!
Jay: Get used to it, you guys. Remember the time we did the four covers? I looked like I was on the Good Ship Lolly Pop. (Cuts to picture of Jay in Sailor suit)
Chris: I was a pirate, pi-rate (looks very proud of himself).
Patrick: Well they are velour...(feels the costume)
Andrew: Ooh! Velour! (He says this sarcastically)
(Jay come out of dressing room in Teddy Bear costume. He is immediately surrounded by girls with glittery make-up and mini-backpacks).
Mini-Back Pack Girls: Aww! (Jay makes a cute face)(louder) Aww!
Sugar: (With his hands on her hips) Are we ready?
(Photo shoot starts, only Jay is wearing a costume, a funky disco beat is playing. The boys vouge, every few seconds a photo pops up on the screen. Sugar is prancing around taking the pictures.)
