After AJ pulled into his driveway and got out of the car he ran toward Lisa’s and opened the door for her.
“Why thank you.” She said.
She stepped out of the car and AJ took both of her hands, lightly pulling her close to him and kissed her lightly.
“I’ve been wanting to do that all day.” He said after they pulled apart.
“AJ I love you with all my heart…but….You smell.” A big smile crept on her face.
“Way to ruin a moment.” He said jokingly.
“Hey I didn’t ruin the moment. You’re odder ruined the moment.”
“I’ve been working out all day. Got to keep this body fit and trim.” AJ said while patting his stomach.
“Honey if you lost any more weight there would be nothing left of you.”
AJ poked her in the side, her most ticklish spot, and she jumped, then backed away from him.
“That’s more like it.” He smiled.
He turned around and walked to the house with her close behind him.
“You go take a shower and I’m going to feed your poor dogs.” Lisa said once they were inside the house.
“Ok then feel free to jump in the shower with me when you want. There’s plenty of room.” AJ said with a sly grin.
“Nice try.”
“We should just have our own celebration. It’s been a long time since we’ve been alone.”
Lisa walked closer to AJ, draped one arm around him and looked at him seductively. “We’ll have our own little celebration later.”
AJ’s jaw dropped and his eyes widened, and then a smile appeared on his face.
“What do you have in mind?”
“Well I was thinking we could go in the kitchen,”
“Yeah….”
“Get some whipped cream…”
“Yeah…..” His smile grew even bigger.
She went up to his ear to whisper the last part.
“and make some ice cream sundaes.” She looked at his face to see his reaction. A big look of disappointment washed over his face. “I’ve been wanting ice cream for a week.”
“You are so bad.” He said shaking his head. He began walking to the stairs and stopped before he went up.
“What, you mean you thought I was talking about……You are dirty!” she said sounding like she was disgusted.
AJ started to laugh. “You’re a great actress Lisa. No wonder they picked you.”
Lisa took a bow for him and then went to the kitchen to feed his hungry dogs.
Chapter 10
“I’m clean!” AJ announced as he came down the stairs. Lisa was sitting on the couch in the living room petting JD. “How much time to we have before they get here?” AJ walked into the room and sat down on the couch next to her.
“In about twenty minutes.” She answered.
“You know I was thinking,” AJ slipped his arm around her shoulders. “why don’t you come on tour with us before you go out to LA? It’ll give us more time to spend with each other. We can even get Leigh and Julie to come along too in case you get sick of us.”
“Oh I could never get sick of you guys. If that’s ok with the guys then it’s ok with me.”
“Good, they want you along too. Almost two LONG weeks with us.”
“How am I going to be able to stand it?” Lisa said sarcastically.
They sat in silence, Lisa scratching behind JD’s ears and AJ watching her face. Her lips were curled up into a small smile, her hair falling to her face. She looked completely comfortable with where she was. By the look on her face it seemed as though there were nowhere else on earth she would rather be. Lisa snuggled up against AJ and rested her head on his shoulder. He kissed the top on her head, and traced his finger along her jaw line.
The doorbell rang and they could hear Brian and Leighanne as they walked inside.
“How does that man do it?” AJ asked as he got up from the couch.
“He has great timing.” She answered.
JD jumped off Lisa’s lap to go great Brian and Leighanne and AJ went to pull Lisa up from her seat. She stole a quick kiss from AJ and walked to the front door to let them know that they were actually home.
“There you are.” Brian said when he saw Lisa. AJ slowly made his way into the room and Brian had to smile at the look on AJ’s face. “Great timing again Bone?”
“As always.” He answered pretending to be annoyed.
“So are you coming on tour with us?” Brian asked Lisa.
She shook her head and then turned to Leighanne. “I don’t know Leigh can we stand two straight weeks with these goofballs?”
Leighanne looked from Lisa to the two guys who had their arms around each other’s shoulders and were making silly faces at them.
“Well Lisa this does give us a chance to check out other guys when they’re not looking…Oh what I meant to say was….” Leighanne trailed off when Brian covered her mouth.
“Checking out other guys? Why would you want to do that when you’ve got your own studs around?” Brian asked them both.
Lisa and Leighanne looked around the room, trying to search for their “studs.”
“I don’t see any studs around here. Do you Leigh?” Lisa asked.
Leighanne looked around again. “Nope. No studs.”
“You think you’re so funny.” Brian said to Leighanne as he began to tickle her.
“No Brian! NO! STOP! NO!!” she screamed.
Leighanne dropped to the ground trying to get out of his grasp. Brian finally let go after Kevin walked in the door.
“Hey guys.” He greeted. His girlfriend Kristen walked in close behind him and stepped over to his side so she could say hi to everyone. Leighanne stood up and straightened out her pants and her shirt and pulled Brian too his feet.
“Hey you two congratulations on the movie!” Kristen said and she gave both of them a hug.
“Thank you!” They both said and returned the hug.
After only a few minutes, Nick and Julie showed up with Howie and his girlfriend Stacy behind them.
“Well now that we’re all here let’s go.” AJ said to everyone.
Brian, Leighanne, AJ, Julie and Lisa all piled into Lisa’s car while Howie, Stacy, Kristen, Kevin, and Nick all piled into Nicks car and they all headed toward a local club that they liked to hang out in.
