~Chapter 5~

*6:45 that night*

"April you ready yet?" I shouted at her.
"Yeah hold on. Just don't have a cow." April yelled back.
"Nikki, are you ok?" Holly asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but for some reason I'm really nervous."
"Well stop it! It's not like anything surprising is going to happen."
"Yeah I guess your right." Ten minutes the doorbell rang. I jumped up to answer it. Joe was at the door.
"Guys I'd like you to meet Joe, Joe this is Holly, and my room-mate April.
"Hi." They said at the same time.
"Hey." He replied. After a few moments of silence
"Ok, let's go." I said while I pushed everyone out of the apartment. When we walked out of the apartment building the only car we can see is a black limo. The three of us were confused.
"This is our ride." Joe said as he opened the door. We all got in no questions asked. When we were all in the car and 'Joe' shut the door, we heard four guys say "hi". All of their voices sounded really familiar. As I looked around the limo I saw Brian, Howie, AJ, and Nick. Now I was really confused. I looked at 'Joe', but he wasn't 'Joe' anymore. He was Kevin.
"Before you say anything," he said, "I want to explain. I didn't tell you who I was because I wanted you to treat me like a person, not like a celebrity."
"Oh, ok, that's cool." I said still sounding amazed. Up to that point everyone was listening to our conversation, but then Kevin introduced us to the Boys (like we didn't know who they were).
April and AJ were in a world of their own while Holly, Howie, Nick and Brian were all talking. As for Kevin and I, we were talking like we usually did at the coffee house. Only there was more discussion about the group. When we finally got to the arena the guys gave us front row tickets, told us to meet them back stage after the show, and bye. We found our way to our seats and sat down.
"Oh my god, tell me again how we got here. I've got to be dreaming right? I mean I did not just sit in the same limo as AJ McLean. Somebody pinch me." April said. So taking what she said literally, Holly pinched April.
"God damn it you idiot, I didn't mean it seriously." We just laughed while April sat there rubbing her arm and giving us her "evil eye". The next thing we know the place goes black, and we know the show is starting.

~Chapter 6~

"You guys were great." I said.
"Thanks. So I take it you guys liked the show." Kevin said.
"Yeah, plus it was nice of you to bring us. I have to admit that we all tried sooo long to get tickets." We were all back stage now. The guys had to wait a while till they can leave, so most of the fans are gone, and so they don't get mobbed.
"We can leave now, if you guys want." Brian tells the rest of us. We leave through the back door and get into the limo. This time we all have a conversation about life, instead of April and AJ off in their own little world.
We got to the apartment building, we said our good-byes, and we got out. "Ahhhhhh." April screamed the minute we got into the apartment.
"My thoughts exactly." Holly said, "Tonight was, ummm lest see what's the word, how about AMAZING!"
"Yeah no kidding, I mean how many people get to meet Kevin Richardson while at work then end up in the front row at the concert they have been dying to see. I must be lucky I guess." I said next with a little bit of depression in my voice.
"What are you doing talking like this might never happen again, I mean you are friends with the guy. You see him every day. We only met him tonight. Just you see he'll probably be at the coffee house tomorrow." April complained.
"Your probably right, but its not like you will never talk to AJ again either. In the car you guys were flirting like 14 year olds."
"Your right, so whatever, I'm tired, so I'm going to bed. 'Night."
"Night," Holly said, "I'm going to go too. Bye." Then she left. I was all alone in the apartment, so I decided to go to bed too.

~Chapter 7~

"Hey stranger." I said as the door to the coffee house opened.
"Hey." a familiar voice said.
"The usual?"
"Yep." He said back.
"Did you see the flirting going on between April and AJ last night? Oh my god." I asked.
"Yeah I give then until next week before they are going out." Kevin said.
"I give them until tomorrow night."
"Really? Well why don't we make it a bet. Ummm let's say $10 for the winner." He
suggested.
"That sound reasonable, I could use ten extra bucks."
"Oh are you getting a little over confidant here?"
"Maybe, why someone can't loose ten bucks?"
"No it's just I see the guy every day so..."
"Hold it bucko, we can't have any interference with them ok?"
"Fine, sounds fair. Anyway, I got to go. We have an early rehearsal today. Bye."
"Ok. Bye, and remember the rules NO HELPING!" The door shut just the next string of customers were arriving.

*At the apartment *

April was home, and Holly was sitting in her usual spot on the couch. We were just sitting there talking when we got on the subject of the guys.
"Speaking of AJ," I said to April, "has he called you at all?"
"No. Why?" She asked in reply.
"No reason. Its just you have had a crush on him ever since they have a group. Then you meet him and you two were flirting like I've never seen you flirt before. That's all."
Then Holly added, "Nikki, what do you think we're idiots? The whole time you were telling us that BS you had your evil smile on. I know something is up. So spill it."
"So you think that because I have a look on my face means that I have some evil plan." I said.
"Yeah, that's it. You always do. So why doubt my theory of 'the face'."
"Fine, whatever you keep believing the theory of 'the face'." I said annoyed.
"You two keep debating, and I'm going to do some work." April said getting up and leaving the room.
"Ok Nikki I'm on to you, so what's your secret." Holly said.
"Ok ok I surrender. Kevin and I made a bet about when April and AJ are going to get together. Hey I could use some extra money. It's not a lot but its money."
"So why don't you find a way to convince April to ask him out?"
"There's a catch thought, we can't help."
"Whatever, good luck. I'm going to go now. Bye."

~Chapter 8~

Since its a Saturday April and I don't have to work. The guys invited us to their house for the day. Nick suggested that we play football instead of basketball, just because they haven't played it in a while. Everyone agreed on it so we played football. Me, Brian, April, and Nick were on one team while Holly, Kevin, AJ and Howie were on the other. After an hour of playing Holly and the guys were winning by a touchdown.
We decided that this would be the last play. Brian played quarterback while Holly and Howie were guarding Nick, April was being guarded by AJ (of course) and Kevin was guarding me.
Brian threw the ball, I caught it, but Kevin was right there in front of me. I tried to get passed him, but he tackled me (gently) up by the waist. I let out a pathetic little yelp. I started laughing and screaming at him to let go of me. Finally he let go of me. I really didn't want him to let go of me. It felt good in his arms.
Right then and there I thought nothing about how I felt. The game was over, Holly and the guys won, but it was a fun game. While on the way back to the house, AJ asked if April would go out with him. Of course she said yes. I put my hand out in front of Kevin and he handed me $10.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you." I said mockingly.
He had a discouraged look on his face after I said that. When we got back to the house we hung out until seven. "Bye guys." I called as we were walking to the car. April was the last one in the car, she was busy kissing AJ. All we talked about in the car was the day. Then the subject of Kevin tackling me came up. I made it sound like I thought it wasn't a big deal. Inside I wanted to tell Holly and April how I was feeling, but I didn't want them to make it a big deal out of the whole thing.
