~Chapter 49~ ~Later that Night~ “Only 5 minutes till midnight.” Rob said to everyone. “And I don’t want to see the two of you doing anything.” Ethan said to Jamie and Kevin. Jamie’s mom hit him in the back of the head. “Thank you mom.” Jamie said. “Lighten up Ethan.” Melissa said. “You should really listen to Mel, she makes a lot of sense.” “Hey I’m just looking out for my sister all right? Give me some credit. I mean if I found my sister making out with her boyfriend on the patio, you know I’d have to do something about it.” Said Ethan. “What are you getting at?” Jamie asked confused. “See for yourself.” Kevin got up and looked out the slide door that went out to the patio. He saw Olivia and AJ were making out just like Ethan had said. He opened the door and stepped out. “Hey you two it’s not new years. Save it will ya?” He smiled and went back inside and sat down next to Jamie. “How did you know they were making out if you have been sitting there for the past ten minutes?” Kevin asked. “I saw them before I sat down in here.” Ethan replied. AJ and Olivia finally went back inside and took their coats off. “Well look who finally decided to join us.” Jamie said. “Is it time yet?” Olivia asked. “Just about.” Ethan replied. Everyone gathered around in the living room getting ready to celebrate the New Year. ~Chapter 50~ ~3 years later, May 2003~ The years past, and things really didn't change. The guys toured, and the girl went with when they could. Olivia graduated in 2001, and has had a job ever since. Jamie on the other hand was still in school, but it's her last year. AJ and Olivia, and Jamie and Kevin are still together and there is no clear end. ---------- "Can we switch yet? I don't think that I can lick another stamp." Nick asked Jamie. He was helping her with the invitations for her graduating party. "Yeah, here just put these in the envelopes." She said. "Look who we found wandering around." AJ said when he, Howie and Olivia came in the house. Kevin and Brian walked in. Jamie got off the couch and went over to them. "I missed you so much." She gave him a kiss. "I missed you too." Brian and Kevin were visiting their family. “So how is that envelope stuffing coming along?” Olivia asked. “Oh just wonderful.” Nick said. “My tongue has so much glue on it, it can stick to anything.” “Graduation already? Our little girl is growing up so fast.” Brian said pretending to wipe away a tear. After another ten minutes the invitations were all finished and they were all free to do whatever came to mind. Obviously since Kevin had just gotten home, he and Jamie would want to be alone so they went back to his place, while the rest stayed at Jamie and Olivia’s. “Why don’t we shoot some hoops?” Brian suggested after they had been sitting there for a half-hour bored out of their minds. “Sounds like a good idea.” Said Olivia. Olivia went to get her basketball while the guys went outside. “All right who’s on who?” she asked when she got outside. “It’s you and me verse, AJ, Howie, and Nick.” Brian answered. “What AJ you don’t want to be on my team?” Olivia asked. “I get to be closer to you if I’m on the other team cause I can block you.” He said. Nick pretended to gag. “Oh get a room.” Said Brian. "Sounds like a good idea." Olivia said taking AJ's hand. They walked towards the house when Brian said, "Yeah right Liv, we know you better that. Get back here." "Why do you have to listen when I always talk." She replied. They played a game up to 30, and Brian and Olivia ended up winning, as usual. ~Chapter 51~ *3 days later* "Jamie, you here." Kevin said walking into the house. "Yeah, and thanks for knocking." She said. "No problem. Anyway, go change into some old clothes." "Why?" "I'll explain later." Jamie went upstairs changed and they left. "So now explain to me why I look like a scrub, and why we're at a field." Jamie said after she and Kevin got out of the car. "Well, you told me that you've always wanted to play football in the mud. I figured that since it just rained, and this field was pretty muddy, that we could play." He pulled out a football from the trunk of his car. "I told you that?" She took a minute to think. "I told you when we met, rather you found me and Liv in Atlanta. You listened to me that whole time? I was just rambling to kill time. And how are we going to play with just us?" "Oh, I know a lot more than you realize. The rest of the guys are coming too. AJ's picking up Olivia, and Nick's bringing Aaron and 2 of his friends." After 15 minutes everyone was there. "Jamie, we finally get to play." Olivia said. "I know we've only been waiting 5 years or longer." Jamie said. "Liv and Jamie should be captains, just because." Brian said, "So pick a number 1 through 10." "5." Jamie said. "8." Olivia said. "James is closer." "Yeah, Kev." Jamie said. "Surprise, surprise. AJ." Olivia said. "Oh and that was a surprise too." Jamie had Kevin, Nick, Aaron, and Chris (one of Aaron's friends). Olivia had AJ, Brian, Howie, and Jimmy (Aaron's other friend). They played for about an hour and a half, and were completely covered in mud. Jamie's team won, but only by a touchdown. "You know how I was saying that I knew so much about you before?" Kevin asked as he pulled Jamie away from everyone else. "Uh huh, why?" "Well there is one thing I don't know." "What's that?" Kevin got down on one knee and said, "You know how much you mean to me. You've always been there, and you make my life complete. And I want to know if you'll be my wife." He opened a small box he pulled out of his pocket. "Yes, of course." She was practically crying. Kevin began to stand up, when Jamie went to kiss him. They both ended on the ground, kissing. "Where's Jamie and Kevin?" Nick asked when they got to the cars. "Still out there." Brian answered. "Hey you two, let's go." Olivia shouted. They got up, and started to walk hand in hand to were everyone was. "Do you want the ring now or after we clean off?" Kevin asked. "Later." Jamie said wiping her eyes. ~Chapter 52~ *That night* “Well it’s about time you get home.” Olivia said when Jamie walked in the door. “What. Kevin and I went out to dinner.” She said. She sat down on the couch. “So was playing in the mud as fun as you had expected?” “Yes and actually it was even better.” She answered. She held out her hand showing off her ring. Olivia’s eyes widened. “He didn’t.” she said. “He did.” “Awe congratulations. When did this happen?” “Right after our game ended.” “You’re so lucky.” They watched TV in silence for about an hour and then Olivia went up to her room to clean it up a little bit so that she could see her floor. While she was picking up her clothes and throwing them in her hamper, she heard something that sounded like a trumpet outside. She walked outside on her balcony and looked around to see if she could see what it was. When she looked down, she saw that it was a mariachi band, and AJ was standing in front of them holding an almost dead rose. “AJ what are you doing?” Olivia asked. “Hey baby.” He said. “There’s something I want to tell you.” Everything he said was slurred together. “AJ are you drunk?” she asked. “Now why would I be drunk? That’s crazy.” He looked behind him at the band and then back up at Olivia. The band started to play and he began talking again. But none of it made any sense at all.
