ROCK MUSIC

Now by rock music I don't mean Thrash, Heavy Metal and songs where the guy growls for 3 minute and you can't
understand a word they're sing...growling. I am talking about controlled, harmonious rock music and that is what
this page is about.

Some personal music history
Now this may not be a good idea but I'm going to do it anyway
Unfortunatly the band that got me into rock was Guns 'N' Roses, their version of "Knocking On Heavens Door" specifically. This transformation in music was closely followed by a liking for Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and a great appreciation for Eric Clapton. From then on I was on I was hooked on rock. I also have my mate Stuart Marshall and Neil Mathers to thank for educating me. It was with these two people that I joined in 1994/5 to be part of their band, which was unofficially called "Blood and Sand", as a drummer. We went on to the dizzy heights of Stu's front room and then stayed there, eventually changing the name of the band to "The Shade Tree". We were together for 3 or so years doing covers E.g. Cat's in the Cradle - Ugly Kid Joe, Shine - Soul Asylum, Tommorrow - Silverchair, and a few of our own until University intervined and my dreams of being a rock star faded into nothingness.
I am now learning to play the guitar and there will be a page coming soon with lots of tab on it for all those budding guitarist out there. It will start with some of my favourite songs but will progress into much more.

On to my favourite bands, who I will have .wavs and tab for...eventually I promise.
