Chapter #14

FOOD FIGHT!!!

Isaac's POV

The next day was pure hell! We got no sleep what so ever. After we got into
something clean we had to go back into the woods and clean up all the mess
we made. We finished just a little before sunrise and you couldn't even tell
anyone was back there. We were allowed a small breakfast then we had to work
our butts off.
First we had to build a trench for some sort of construction thing, then we
had to work on the equpment for the gym, fixed the banged up insterments,
stacked papers for art, and orginized papers for the counclers.
We spent the whole day like that and by the time it was time for lights out,
we were zonked out.

Peace's POV

"I cannot belive you, Starr," I said not to harsh but not to light. "You said I could trust you!" "Sorry," she said. "But if you were only there having fun with us you would understand." "But I wasn't and I wouldn't go agienst the counclers' rules," I said. "That's just because you have a dad that works here!" she said, her voice getting louder and madder. "Some of us just want to have fun instead of running under their daddy's wing!" The girls in the cabin were crowding around. "Starr, why don't you just stop while your ahead, I don't want to get into a fight with you," I said. She stopped and took a deep breath. "Your right," she said. "You guys are the only friends I have, I don't want to lose one. Sorry." "Sorry too, but just promis me something," I paused. "What?" she questioned. I answered. "Just next time, don't forget to take me with you if you guys do something like that again." I grinned. "Deal," she said and we continued at our bissness. A few days went by, nothing really diffrent happened until Friday at supper. I was sitting with the gang and Zac, Jackie, Teresa, Tyler, and Jillian were talking about something, I didn't know exactly what, and Isaac, Chris, Taylor, and Starr were discussing what they were going to do for the music class. From what I heard it was pretty hard. I just sat there and veiwed everyone to make sure that they weren't doing something they weren't supposed to be doing when all of a sudden someone threw some mashed potatoes at Isaac. They missed, though, and hit Jillian instead. We all looked over in the direction of where that came from and to the guys that were laughing. It was Josh, Drew, Justin, and Nick. I stood up ready to make them go to the head counclers office when they threw it at me next. I gave a little yelp and whiped the mashed potatos off of me. The entire cafateria got quiet. I walked up to the guys, and they were exspecting a punishment but instead I scooped up some 'Jell-o' and mashed it in Josh's face, the one who threw the mashed potatos. "Food fight!" someone yelled and food was fling everywhere!

Zac's POV

All of us at the table crawled under the table for safty, but still there we got clobbered with something. "On the count of three go towards the door," said Jillian passing along the message. Peace counted. "One, two, THREE!" We all ran to the door, getting suff all over us, but we were all laughing at the same time. "Go Peace!" one of the girls said but I didn't catch who. We were tring to catch our breath from laughing so hard when Sgt. McClain and five other counclers came up to the cafateria and Sgt. McClain blew his whistle and everyone froze. "Alright," said one of them. "Who started this!?!" All of them pointed to the guys but they pointed to us. "Ok let me make this more elabret, who through first," and still the fingers staied the same. "All of you come with us, the rest of you go get cleaned up," said the councler and we did as we were told.

Sgt. McClain's POV

The counclers and I were in my office, and with the kids having all that food all over them it was hard to keep myself from laughing. "I want the truth," I said. "Who threw the food first?" Peace answered. "They did," she said meaning the boys. "They ment to hit Isaac but hit Jillian instead. "That's a lie!" Justin butted in. "Yeah," defended Drew. "She's just a good lier, and you better not go easy on her because she's your daughter!" he paused then said. "Sir." "I won't and don't tell me what I should do with my daughter!" my voice raised but then I calmed down. "She didn't lie sir," said Isaac. "Yeah, they hit me with mashed potatos first, we didn't do anything to them," said Jillian, and I've know Jillian for two years and she doesn't lie. "But Peace got me with 'Jell-o'," said Josh. "That's after you got her with the mashed potatos," defended Taylor. A big arument started and I couldn't shut them up until I used my whistle. "Boys you are to get up at five tomorrow and work, and Peace, I'm sorry to have to do this but, you are no longer a councler, you can stay as a camper but no more, and as for you boys," I said looking at them. "You will have the same punishment as you did when you guys were in the woods at night." A smile spread across the other kids' faces' while the others moned.

Starr's POV

Peace was on the bed next to me, as a camper. I walked up to her bed and sat down next to her, knowing she was sad because she loved being a councler. "Peace?" I said. She just looked at me as in saying, 'yeah?'. "Are you going to be ok now that your a camper and not a councler?" I asked. "Yeah," she sighed. "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm sure," she started to smile a little. "Are you positively sure your ok?" Her frown dropped. "No, actually Starr I'm very pissed at myself for doing that. I knew something would happen," she said. A tear fell from her eye. "I totally loved being a councler, I was looked up to," I stopped her. "At lest you got Josh back," I said. She smiled again. "Your right I did get him pretty good didn't I?" she said now smiling again. I nodded and smiled as well. Later that evening we saw the guys still tring to get the food off the floor when we passed them. We smiled when we passed them and then sat down at our table with everyone else. "Hi guys," Peace and I both said. "Hay," was their response. They moved over to let us in. I was sitting next to Taylor and he gave me a peice of paper that had some music notes and words on it. "It's just the beging, I'm working on it," he whispered to me in my ear. It said:
If beauty is in the eyes of the beholder Then the beauty in mine is all true For the beauty in the eyes of this beholder Makes my heart always beholding to you If somewhere in soft reality lies a narrow stream And if in that stream someday should you be I would let down my cup, and then drink it up Just to have more of you with me Should heaven have a purple curtain grand Never could it be as you are today In that purple you fulfill in this mans will of wills A vision of heaven as together we swayed Guess in this heart there are words running over In these eyes seeing you in your truth Yes the beauty is in the eye of the beholder And me, I'm beholding you
"Wow," I said quietly to him. "That's pretty good, just one question." "What?" he asked. "Why are we whispering?" I giggled. "What's so funny?" asked Isaac who was sitting next to Tay. "Nothing," said Taylor as he shuved the music into his posket then gave a weird smile towards Ike. I was wondering why Tay wasn't afraid to show me his work but he was to his own brother. From what I heard they were, like, best friends. I just shrugged it off and started to, sort of, eat my, ew, sloppy joe.
