Slippery When Wet was released in the summer of '86 and became the album that brought them get the platinum 12 times. The title of the album was named after a stript club in Vancouver which was the place they had chosen for recording. Whereas, stories about sex in this album had rapidly pulled the album sales rising , they had a big problem with the album cover which was the pic of a girl in wet tight t-shirt which was banned by PMRC. The band was asked to keep the album back "Thanks God that Dick Asher (PolyGram president at that time) was agree and keep those 500,000 covers back to destroy." Jon says "There's only one place that this cover is still exist, Japan 'cause it's too late to bring 'em bank" And the effects from this album was the births of a lot of pop metal bands (Warrant , Winger...) which affected all areas like an infective disease. And about making this infective disease, Jon Bon Jovi says briftly , "I'm sorry."
