By a strange quirk of fate I've been working for the past two years on the very street where the cover shot of 'Ziggy Stardust' was taken. Even stranger when you consider that the only light in any of the windows in the picture is coming from what is now y office (high up above Ziggy's head on the thrid floor). When I leave the office late on a dark wet night I can sometimes see a glint in the shadows and feel a strange presence.

I was 12, when I first saw David Bowie on the cover of Time Magazine. Back in those days I was confused and unsure how to express my dilemmas, so I escaped into the world of David Robert Jones (David Bowie). I studied everyting I could about the man, and his in exchange became my way of dealing with the horror issues. If something unsusual interfered in my life I would simply run to my world of David Bowie which kept the evils out, by playing music, reading his works etc. This is a wonderful site, I for one am very impressed, but at the same time wouldn't have expected anything less. Without doubt David Bowie is one of the rock history's intresting and important artist. After all, he is today almost only "old" artist who have something new to say and do, unlike the all the other 60's and 70's artists (if they are still alive). The 80's looked really bad for David, but the 90's have shown us that our man is still in full thrill. His "Outside" album is Wonderful,Wonder- ful,wonderful!!! I can tell you, brothers and sisters, it's as good as his 70's most praised albums! If you don't love "Outside" now i hope, that you learn to love it later. Many people say that "Outside" is really "wired" album and they can't understand it. But, once you get inside the "Outside" you will hear and feel really outstand- ing musical landscape. I hope, that mr. Bowie will do more "wired" albums. You see, my dear frends, more "wired" his music goes, the better his albums will be come. That's the law of his genious.

by 1972 the wait was over and i went to see bowie at carnagey hall in new york city, my home town. 1970 was a reverlation for me but the concert that night along with weekly visits to the mercer arts center to see the new york dolls was what shaped my life for the future.

David Bowie's music has proven to last the test of time. the Sydney, Australia radio station deserves much recognition for playing Bowie's music without faulter. they have also help bring me into the fold of Bowie-dom. It is great to see Mr. Bowie allowi g his songs to be covered, and the Marilyn Manson version of Golden Years is really a tribute to the youthfullness of Bowie's songs. Much credit must also go to Mr. Bowie himself, who has done a wonderful job with his music, art and the like. Although Bo ie's past has been riddled with rumours and admitted practices (such as drug abuse) it is good to see a "clean-cut" Bowie, particularly out on the town with his stunning wife, Iman, who truelly deserves as much appluase as david himself. Mr. Bowie, may you live forever!

Discovered him during a point in my life when I was discovering my "inner self". First song listened to was "5 Years" from the spider album. This album (during the year of 72) touched me in a way that I was able to actually FEEL the music inside my very pores. After that, I listened to "Images" which was totally odd but wonderful all wrapped up into a record jacket. My favourite song is "Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloude" and my puppy is named Freecloude. Haven't cared for too much of his stuff lately as t sounds like a lot of noise minus the creativity that I remember of the man years ago. Maybe you can turn me on to a good tune of lately---Thanks for an ear and a page to write to. paula

What can I say? The thin white duke is a fountain of creativity. His music, his films, and even his artwork, are innovative and exciting. David is unique. No-one shines as much as this Starman! I'm sure he gets a kick out of your website and has a ch ckle over the warped images in your gallery. He does seem to have a pre-occupation with the debotchery of his own image in some of his artwork Dheads! Is it self-loathing - or narcissism - or both? Anyone care to psycho-analyse? Either way, I still lo e his music and his style! Can't wait to see him on the big screen with Harvey Keitel - in a "spaghetti western?". Typical of Bowie - you just never know what he's gonna get into next. Gotta love it.

I enjoythe tribal paintings best. The colors and style of the "dhead" series remind me of Dali's tastes, color, style preferences. It's hard to view by computer, but I wonder if gold paint is used on the "dhead"s? I feel "they" are asking for illuminat on - and that this would be emotionally healing for the artist to give "them". Gold framing, however, would help keep-turning the energy. Why? Because the "dhead"s are actual entities. (I asked them if there was anything they wanted, and they said "go d".) A poem: Once an artist painted a dhead apple; for what reason known - no critic could grapple... When asked for a comment he said - "who would believe that this dhead fruit is a portrait of Eve?"

I do think that David Bowie's music goes much deeper than most people think, do yourself a favour and explore some of the earier stuff-Hunky Dory,The Man Who Sold The World or pick up some of the material that h did with the King Bees, the Lower Third or Buzz, Tin Machine is kick ass as well. I think you will find this journey a crash course for the ravers...PS why has no one organized a tribute CD to this great artist, lets get people like the Stone Temple Pil ts, the Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Blur, Suede, the Cure, Lou Reed, Ian Hunter, Iggy Pop, and others whom Bowie has either influenced or who just appreciate his art, to offer thier spins on some of his classic works. David Bowie has gevin us some great songs but most of all he is a pioneer, he is the cutting edge. Many others have followed the path that David Bowie has forged. Bowie has always been to me a chameleon who picked up on different artistic currents and served them up to a popular audience. Though his work after "lets Dance" took a slide he is now in fine form once more. Love the Art page and the new record, specific lly the collaborative work with Trent Reznor. I´m here for the first time so I can´t say much yet. I guess it´s great that you can contact other DB fans over this site. I really love David a lot and I´m always going to an Internet cafe just to read the sites about that man. It´s a great invention. I´ve been kind of a fan since about three years, but since I saw him live at Go Bang! in Lübeck I´m really nuts about him.Then I still saw him on two other dates, but I´m really depressed that I didn´t see him more often now and that I´m still kind of a new fan, when I´m reading how many of you have been fans for all their lives. Two days ago I just met three fans who were fans from 15-25 years, and they even met him in person several times. I was really becoming envious when I saw all their photos offstage. I just saw him once in front of a hotel but he was just walking by and didn´t stop. I couldn´t even take a picture. I´d really love to meet him in person too one time, sigh! I do like this site! It has much to offer the viewer, not static like so many others I have visited. Love the current "where to find Bowie" this month info section. this is a great place. ive been looking everywhere for great info on him and this has helped me out a lot though i am still trying to find more info on Labyrinth where can i buy the video, now that its no longer in print "i'm happy, hope you're happy too." keep up the good work!!
