The ((long)) history of this wicked band!!
The members:

Raine Maida
Raine's real name is Micheal. He uses his vocal talents very well in Our Lady Peace

Mike Turner
Mike grew up in England. He didn't really learn how to play the guitar very well at first until after the 70's. He finally got taught well, and now he rocks!!

Jeremy Taggart
Jeremy lived with his father who was a jazz drummer. Jeremy picked up on everything, and understood a lot of beats and rythms. As OLP formed, the band learned a lot from Jeremy.
Duncan Coutts
Duncan plays the bass in OLP.
Our Lady Peace formed in November of 1992. The original members of the band were Raine Maida (vocals), Mike Turner (guitarist), Chris Eacrett (bass), and Jim Newell (drums).
They all lived in Toronto, Ontario. As everything got more serious, Jeremy Taggart replaced Jim Newell on drums. They recorded some
demo tapes and even made their first video entitled: "Out of Here." OLP had some problems in 1993, and didn't have any more cash left after recording a couple of songs. Soon, after dubbing the tapes they had made,
some record companies showed interest. Sony Music Canada was interested in them at once. OLP signed with Sony, and started recording. In May 1994,
Naveed was released. The 1st single being The Birdman. They made a video, directed by the same director that made I Mother Earth's videos.
Starseed was the next single. In 1994, IME and OLP toured together. In March 1995, OLP got recognized in the U.S. In May, that's when Naveed was released to the U.S.
In July 1995, after performing with various artists such as Van Halen and Sponge, OLP came out with their Live 1995 CD. In September 1995, Chris Eacrett left the band,
and Duncan Coutts replaced him. Before being with OLP, Duncan was a member of a band called Blue Heavies. In January 1996, OLP began recording Clumsy. A few months
later, July 1996, they played Edgefest in Barrie, ON with IME, 54:40, The Tea Party, Rusty, Rainbow Butt Monkeys, and a few other bands. Two weeks later,
IME played in concert with Alanis. In December of 1996, Superman's Dead was released, and it was a huge hit! In January 1997, Clumsy was released! OLP played some concerts
with many artists. In March 1997, the song Clumsy became a huge hit!! Clumsy was on Combat Des Clips on MuchMusic. The song stayed at the charts for weeks in a row!!
In June 1997, OLP travelled with many other bands all across Canada to play at a concert called Edgefest. I happened to have seen Edgefest myself, check out my review!!! EDGEFEST REVIEW!!!!
