Hello. This is my self-indulgent music page... not to be confused with
the ones
that actually might be helpful to some people (sneer) Anyways...
here's a
bunch o' links to my most favorite Electronic Bands/Artists. If
you see some that
don't have links, that is because I am unable to find any
for that particular group.
If you know of any fill me in!!!
also... the bands listed here might change if I decide that I have
overdosed on
them... or they all of a sudden rub me the wrong way
(yeeow!)... After all this
is my self indulgent page. But usually I'm
pretty loyal... so don't worry too much
PRODIGY: Liam's
synth programming rocks, and Kieth's posing amuses me, so... link to them
baby link! Now ain't that some funky shit?
SHEEP ON DRUGS: King
Duncan (a.k.a. King X, and Rex X) and Dead Lee (a.ka. Lee The Bastard) kill
me... Cool tekno/industrial stuff with attitude. GROOV-Y KIDDIES fill me up
with yer gasoline! (heh.heh.heh.)
DEPECHE MODE: Yes... yes I
know their last two albums
are known to cause genital rash because they
suck so badly...But I still can be caught listening to"Music for the Masses"
and "Black Celebration"... Those albums kicked some serious electronic
ass. Too bad Alan left (sigh). So I'm nostaligic... (shrug)
DEVO:
Their wierdness lives on like a golden legend. These
guys
will always be number one my book. (sniffle.. there's that blasted nostalgia
again!) Check out the
What Gives? web site. It has a great list of Devo sites for the Devo
Enthusiaist! Go to the official Devo page, Mutato Muzika to see what
in the $?*% DEVO is up to now. And oh yeah buy their video game "Adventures
of the Smart Patrol". When it's not crashing my computer it's actually
really DEVO!
COIL: Have you been
exploding frogs on the anal staircase
again? How many times have I told you
to invite me over when you do that?!
FUTURE
SOUND OF LONDON: Aural LSD... (big happy grin)... check out their side
project AMORPHOUS ANDROGYNOUS too... it's trip-E
in the best way
imaginable...yum yum yummers! I haven't been able to find a GOOD website for
this band. All of the ones I have been to have treacherous loading times and are
at best mediocre. If you know of a good FSOL
site PLEASE e-mail me the URL!REDFAUX@AOL.COM
RECOIL: Alan
Wilder (formerly of DM) proves that he really
was the manic depressive one
in the band... and I liiiiiiiiike it! (heh.heh.heh)
Gary Numan Hey wasn't he that
guy who was in the Cars?
Er... not quite. However Mr. Numan was very
crucial in the development of the electronic pop scene in the early 80's. He's
got some new stuff out that features some great song writin', however it is in
need of a bit of production help.
the
Crystal Method Take the best of the Prodigy, Chemical Bros. and Juno
Reactor and mix em' up in a pot and this is what ya got!
David BowieOK, OK
so he's not really an electronic artist.
He was one of the first artists to
incorporate the synth into commercial music though, and since this is my page...
I've decided that counts!
BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RED FAUX TRANSMISSION
CONTROL PAGE FOR UNKNOWN & UNSIGNED ELECTRONIC ACTS!!!
(That page
is not-so self indulgent... translation : It's alot more useful!)
