“Wow I really don’t know how to thank you for such a compliment Andrea.”
“Well I know one way.”
“Yeah what would that be?”
Andrea decided to show AJ rather than tell him so she got up on the tips of her toes and began to kiss him.
“Wow that’s one way to repay a compliment.”
“Yeah I thought you would like it.”
Since Andrea and AJ really didn’t know much about each other they decided to go for a walk. Andrea didn’t notice which way they had started walking but they ended up in front of the restaurant that she and Chris were supposed to have dinner at. Andrea and AJ were talking when Chris came out.
“Andrea who is he?”
“Chris does it really matter? If you remember you are the one that broke off our one year relationship.”
“Yes but I’ve already realized that my life would be incomplete without you. You’re all I ever wanted.”
“Chris I can’t, things haven’t been right between us for the past month or so.”
“I know but I promise we can make it work.”
“No we can’t I have already fallen for your 10 000 promises and I can’t live through 10 000 more.”
“But…”
AJ interrupted him by saying
“I think Andrea has made it clear that she doesn’t want you anymore.”
Chris got the hint and he walked away muttering to himself about what an idiot he was. AJ put his arm around Andrea and told her that he would be there for her whenever she needed him.
Justin and Melissa finished watching the movie and decided that they wanted to go to Angel. This was actually the club that Justin and Melissa had met at. They were introduced by Andrea and Chris. They put on their coats and shoes and went to the club. Once they got there they saw Jillian sitting with a guy that they had never seen before. Melissa ran over and asked Jillian who he was.
“Jill, may I ask you who this handsome man is?”
“Who?”
“The one you were sitting with.”
“Oh that is Brian’s cousin Kevin. Isn’t he a hottie?”
“Yes he is but where is Brian? And does he know how you feel about Kevin?”
“Well no, he doesn’t know how I feel about Kevin, but I’m sure he will understand.”
“Really?”
“Well hopefully he won’t even know because I am not going to tell him, and you are the only person I told.”
“I will not tell him I promise. Besides I don’t even know where he is!”
“He took Howie home because Melissa broke his heart, by not saying that she loved him too.”
“Where is she?”
“Outside at the picnic table.”
“Justin baby, I’ll be right back.” Melissa said as she headed towards the door so she could console her friend.
Once again Jillian found herself alone with Kevin. She was happy with that face but also a little nervous because she found herself becoming more attracted to him as time went by. She didn’t know if it was his Kentucky accent, or his big green eyes, or maybe it was his really sexy smile. All Jillian knew was that she couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. The song ‘Anytime’ by Brian McKnight came on and Jillian asked Kevin if he would like to dance. He said yes and led her out onto the floor.
“Kevin I am really glad that we were introduced.”
“Yeah me too. Even if Brian had tried to describe you to me, I don’t think words could describe your beauty.”
“Thank you Kevin.”
“Why are you thanking me?”
“Because I never get compliments like that.”
“Why not? If you were my girl I’d describe your beauty like stars are to night and daytime is to light.”
Just as Kevin said that Jillian saw Brian walk back into the club. She so badly wanted to stay in Kevin’s arms, but she saw Brian walking towards them.
“Jillian we’ll finish our dance another time okay? I promise.”
Kevin let Jillian go and he walked towards the bar, he didn’t want to step on his cousins toes but there was something about Jillian that he just couldn’t resist.
Melissa had a lot to think about. But the only thing she could see in her mind was Howie’s devastated face. She just wanted to be able to rewind time and tell Howie that she loved him, but that was not possible. She was on the verge of tears when she saw Melissa come outside.
“So what happened with you and Howie?”
“I… just … couldn’t…”
“You just couldn’t what?”
“I… couldn’t … tell … Howie … that … I … LOVED… him!”
“Why not?”
“I don’t know. I wanted to but I couldn’t get it to come out!”
Melissa didn’t know what to tell her and she had Justin waiting inside for her so she left Melissa alone to think. She sat out there for at least another twenty minutes until she found herself getting wet. It had just started raining.
“What an end to a perfect day.” Melissa said in a sarcastic voice as she walked back into the club.
