Eletronic sounds

In 1969, George released his experimental solo prject. As the name says, "Eletronic sounds" is a collection of studio effects, a la avant garde music. Don't expect Beatles magic, but certainly a pice of history.

CONTENTS:
Under the Mersey wall - No time or place

All things must pass

From 1970, George's first post Beatles output is a genuine masterpiece. Originally released as a 3-LP set, All thjings must pass conquered the world with its charm and incredible songs. It's possible to hear losen Beatles versions of some of these songs on bootlegs, but George's solo version are very superior. In addition to his amazing performances, he brought some of the best musicians in the world to play with him, like Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr and Billy Preston. It's indeed one of the best albuns ever made.

The concert for Bangla-Desh

In 1971, citarist Ravi Shankar asked George's help to raise some money for starving Bangla Desh. George began working on a great rock'n'roll concert. He gathered some of the most important names in 60's pop music and performed in Madison Square Garden. It seems that everyone involved put the best effort on it. The record, originally released as a 3 LP set and currently avaiable in double CD, is amazing and thrilling. Eric Clapton, Bod Dylan, Leon Russel, Billy Preston and his drum majesty Ringo Starr are among George's guest for this show.

CONTENTS:
Introduction - Bangla-Dhun - Wah-wah - My sweet Lord - Awating on you all - That's the way God planned it - It don't come easy - Beware of darkness - While my guitar gently weeps - Medely: Jumpin' Jack flesh/ Young blood - Here comes the sun - A hard rain's gonna fall - it takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry - Blowing in the wind - mr. Living in the material world

In 1972, George amazes the world again with another superb record. Gettin deeper into spiritual subjects, george doesn't let hismusical side down, and gifts us with such songs are Give me love and That is all. It's said that this record was made after George's ex-wife Pattie left him for Eric Clapton. That would explain Eric's absence in the album. Many people consider this album George's best one. And Ringo's on drums again!!

CONTENTS:
Give me love (Give me peace on earth) - Sue me, sue you blues - The light that has lighted the world - Don't let me wait to long - Who can see it - Living in the material world - The Lord loves the one (that loves the Lord) - Be here now - Try some buy some - The day the world gets 'round - That is all

Dark Horse

George's 1974 release brings Eric Clapton and Ringo back on some songs. Showing that the 70's were really a very prolific time for him, George write lovely songs again, as the fantastic instrumental Hari's on tour and Simply Shade. Far east man sounds sofisticated and never grows old. Also quoted as the best George's album by many fans.

CONTENTS:
Hari's on tour - Simply shade - So sad - Bye bye, love - Maya love - Ding dong, ding dong - Dark horse - Far east man - It is 'he' (Jai Sri Krishna)

Extra texture

From 1975, Extra Texturebrings the hit You and a very 'catchy' orange cover. Extra texture is a very sofisticated album, and it's not na easy listening for most fans, which made of it na obscure george's title. But You, This guitar, Ooh baby, Can't stop thinking about you and others leave clear that it didn't deserve this oblivion. Althought it's the first George record in which Ringo doesn't play, other usual members of his band are there, like Jim Keltner, Jim Gordon, Gary Wright, Leon Russel and Jim Horn.

CONTENTS:
. You - The answer's at the end - This guitar (can't keep from crying) - Ooh baby - World of stone - A bit more of you - Can't stop thinking about you - Tired of midnight blue - Grey cloud lies - His name is legs (ladies and gentlemen)

The best of Geroge Harrison

George's first solo compilation brought excellent material, but, becasue it included one entire side with Beatles material, Geroge's solo recording didn't receive the due space.

CONTENTS:
. Something - If I neede someone - Here comes hte sun - Taxman - Think for yourself - For you blue - While my guitar gently weeps - My sweet lord - Give me love - You - Bangla Desh - Dark Horse - What is life

33 & 1/3

Geroeg's 1976 release is a powerful rock'n'roll record. In Extra texture he had slightly changed his style to a less "acoustical" one. In this album, he seems to have developed it. This one and Crackerbox palace were huge hits, and are among George's best known songs to this day. The very meaningful title gives an extra touch to the album. 33 & 1/3 is Christ's age when he was killed, George's age when the record was released and the standart speed of a vinyl record when playing.

CONTENTS:
Woman don't you cry for me - Dear one - Beautiful girl - This song - See yourself - It's what you value - True love - Pure smokey - Crackerbos palace - Learning how to love you

George Harrison

Released in 1979. Although na obscure title, it's one of my favourites George records. All songs are among Geroge's best ever, like Love comes to everyone, from Beatles' era Not guilty, Blow away, Faster and If you believe. Faster is a hymn to a Geroge's great passion: racing car. This brought him to Brazil in 1979 to see a racing. George, aren't you coming again for a show? :o)

CONTENTS:
Love comes to everyone - Not guilty - Here comes the moon - Soft hearted Hana - Blow away - Faster - Dark sweet lady - Your love is forever - Soft touch - If you believe

Somewhere in England

This 1981 release has a very interesting history. It had four different songs, but the label didn't like them, so George had to write new ones. The left four songs are Flying hour, Lay his head, Sat singing and Tears of the world. The first three, after being bootleged for years, were officially released in a very limited edition single, but Tears of the world remain officially unreleased. These and other circunstances led George to write a new song dedicated to John Lennon, All those years ago, with the very special appearances of Ringo, Paul & Linda and Denny Laine.

CONTENTS:
Blood from clone - Unconsciousness rules - life itself - All those years ago - Baltmore Oriole - teardrops - That which I have lost - Wrting on the wall - Hong Kong Blues - Save the world

Gone Troppo

Released in 1982. Although negleted by many fans, Gone troppo is na excellent record, bringin na unreleased song from the Beatles era, Circles, and George in GREAT shape as guitarrist. That's the way it goes, Greece, Mystical one, Dream away others make this record a fundamental item in every George's fan collection.

CONTENTS:
Wake up my love - That's the way it goes - I really love you - Greece - Gone troppo - Mystical one - Unkown delight - Baby don't run away - Dream away - Circles

Cloud nine

Released in 1988. It seems that after december, 1980, Geroge decided to decrease his activity. Cloud nine was to be his last solo work with new material for the following 10 years oor more. This record marks the begining of George's plorific partnership with producer Jeff Lynne. Ringo and Eric Clapton are back, this time acompained by Elton john and other stars. Cloud nine was one of the best albuns made in the 80's, and one of George's best ever.

CONTETNS:
Cloud 9 - That's what it takes - Fish on the sand - Just for today - This is love - When we was fab - Devil's radio - Someplace else - Wreck of the hesperus - Breath away from heaven - Goy my mind set on you

Travelling Wilburys

In 1988, along with Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, George took part in this lovely project, under pseudonyms. The legend says Travelling Wilburys are a old lost people with special talent for music. The Wilbury familly made na outstanding reord, catching from the first note. Beware of Wilbury records!! You can get adicted to them!!!

Handle with care - Dirty world - Rattled - Last night - Not alone anymore - Congratulations - Heading for the light - Margarita - Tweeter and the Monkey man - End of the line

Best of Dark Horse 1976-1989

A new compilation, from 1989. The inclusion of Poor little girl, Cockamamie business and ,Cheer down make of this album a very important item. For those who like to have a first sight at na author's work before begin collectng, it's good choice.

CONTENTS:
Poor little girl - Blow away - That's the way it goes - Cockamamie business - Wake up my love - Life itself - Got my mind set on you - Crackerbox palace - Cloud 9 - Here comes the moon - Gone troppo - When we was fab - Love comes to everyone - All those years ago - Cheer down

Travelling Wilburys vol. III

In this 1990 release, the Wilbury familly pays a tribute to their late member, Roy Orbison. Although Roy's absence is indeed important, the legendary band made another superb record. Gerge doesn't have a solo number in this record, although he recorded one, Maxine, which appears in several bootlegs. The name was either a joke or a suggestion for bootleggers: there is NOT any Vol. II!!

CONTENTS:
She's my baby - Inside out - if you belonged to me - The devil's been busy - 7 deadly sins - Poor house - Where were you last night? - Cool dry place - New blue moon - You took my breathe away - Wulbury twist

Live in Japan

This 1992 release documents Geroge's 1992 Japan tour with Eric Clapton and his band. New wonderful versions of Geroge classics spread through a double CD. Do I have to say anything more??
