    It all started at the beginning of the '80's in Fair fax High school in L.A. There Anthony Kiedis met Michael "Flea" Balzary ,Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons (they were classmates).  
     Later in 1982 they formed a band wich was called "Tony Flow and the miraculously majestic masters of mayhem"that later in 1983 it would be called "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" (the name of the band comes from a joke about "Chili Willi and the Red Hot Peppers" a country band from the 70's).  
     The  first song they wrote was Out In L.A. it was written by Kiedis (Anthony spent all night awake to write the song 'cause he wanted to surprise the rest of the band).  
 The original formation was:  
      Anthony Kiedis(vocals)  
      Flea(bass)  
      Jack Irons(drums)  
      Hillel Slovak(guitar)  
     After some weeks they had enough songs to record a demo,the problem was where to record it at a cheap price.  
     Flea  also played on a band called "Fear" where the drummer  knew where they could record it.  
     On the demo they included songs like :Out in L.A. ,Green heaven and You always sing the same.  
     Meanwhile the guys showed the demo to all the people who wanted to listen to it and one day they played naked and with socks in their genitals,so after that a lot of people were talking about the band and EMI signed with the chilis.
