The History of Red
Hot Chili Peppers
Chapter 3 Dr. Funkenstein Influences When 1985 arrived they wanted to record another album, they wanted a better producer than Andy Gill; a person who really understands what FUNK is,so they called George Clinton the Funk's father. He could capture better the true energy of the band. The album sounds quite better than the first one.It was called "Freaky Styley", it was released on 1985 and it had more aceptation than the "Red Hot Chili Peppers". Also in this album is when Hillel Slovak left "What is this" to come back with the peppers. Some great songs of this album were Jungle Man , Sex Rap , Freaky Styley , If you Want me to stay ,Catholic School Girls Rule, American Ghost dance ,etc. The band made 2 videos for this album Jungle Man and Catholic School Girls Rule. |
