Get your own Free Home PageAndrea and A.J. walk in the door of the cabin to find Melissa and Howie asleep on the couch.
A.J.: It looks like they had fun while we were gone. Do you think we should wake them up?
Andrea: Not yet. It’ll be almost like having the place to ourselves.
A.J.: I like the way you think.
He leans down to kiss her but they are interrupted by Nick and Lissa.
Nick: Hi guys! It looks like you got caught in the rain too.
Andrea: Shhh! Melissa and Howie are sleeping.
A.J. notices that Nick and Lissa are soaked.
A.J.: How come you two are so wet? It’s not raining that hard outside.
Lissa: We had a water fight at the beach. I think I’ll go get some towels so we can dry off.
As Lissa walks by Andrea, she whispers in her ear.
Lissa: You have grass in your hair.
Andrea blushes as Lissa helps her get it out. Lissa then goes upstairs while Nick turns off the TV that Melissa and Howie left on. Kevin and Jill arrive just as Lissa comes back downstairs with the towels. The wind blows the door shut behind them and the noise wakes up Melissa and Howie.
Jill: Sorry, we didn’t mean to wake you.
Melissa: That’s alright. Nice dress.
Jill: Thanks. Kevin bought it for me.
Melissa then notices that everyone but her and Howie is wet.
Melissa: Is it raining outside?
Lissa: What was your first clue?
Melissa: Ha ha, very funny. So what did you and Nick do all afternoon?
Lissa looks at Nick who is sitting in a nearby wooden chair trying to dry himself off.
Nick: Exactly what we know you wanted us to do when you sent us off alone together. Thank you.
Melissa: We should actually be thanking you. Howie and I weren’t really together when we kicked you guys out. It was just an excuse for you two to leave together. But we are now.
Melissa notices that Lissa is looking for a place to sit.
Melissa: I’d offer you guys a seat on the couch but I don’t think Howie plans on moving anytime soon.
Howie: Hey I’m comfortable right where I am. Do you want me to move?
Melissa: No.
Howie: Then don’t complain.
He tightens his arms around her and closes his eyes.
Lissa: That’s okay. I’d get the couch all wet anyway. I’ll sit somewhere else.
Nick reaches out and pulls her down to sit on his lap.
Lissa: Like here.
Kevin: So when do we eat? I’m starving. We never got to eat our dinner.
Jill: I didn’t hear you complaining earlier.
Kevin: That’s because I wasn’t. But now I’m hungry.
Jill: You’re always hungry.
Kevin: Yes I am.
He grins at Jill who blushes when she realizes what he really means.
A.J.: Where did you guys go anyway? You’re all dressed up.
Jill: We went to a nice restaurant for dinner.
Andrea: But Kevin just said you never ate.
Jill: We didn’t.
Andrea: But...
Jill: We left before our dinner came and that’s all I’m going to tell you. Why are you so interested anyway? I don’t hear you volunteering what you and A.J. did all afternoon in the woods.
Andrea is saved from answering by a knock on the door. She reaches over and opens it to find Brian standing there.
Brian: Hi guys! Sorry I’m late. What did I miss?
He looks around the room and notices that all the couples are holding hands, not to mention that Howie is still laying on Melissa and Lissa is sitting on Nick’s lap.
Brian: It looks like I missed a lot. Just think, if I’d been here all day, I might have a girlfriend right now. Maybe even one of these two beautiful girls right here.
He puts one arm around Jill and the other around Andrea who are standing on either side of him.
Kevin: Brian, you’re my cousin and I love you, but get your hands off my girlfriend.
Jill thinks it’s cute that Kevin is jealous and decides to tease him a little.
Jill: Hey I don’t mind as long as it’s still in the family.
Kevin: Well I do. I’m not sharing you with anyone.
A.J.: Me neither.
Brian: Oh well. You can’t blame me for trying. So who’s hungry? I saw a restaurant on my way here that looked good. Since you guys all have something to celebrate, it’ll be my treat.
Kevin: Sounds good to me.
Brian: Of course it does.
While Nick and Lissa quickly change their clothes, Melissa convinces Howie to get up and then they all leave the cottage together.
