About an hour later the four girls had rented a car and were out looking for a place to stay.
"I think there is one right up this street where you can rent a whole cabin." Cassidy said pointing out the window at the place that was up the street.
"Well why don't we check it out?" Angel said.
Daylyn pulled into the parking lot and stopped the car. On the front of the cabin closest to the parking lot, there was a sign that said, "cabins for rent".
"Why don't all of you wait in the car and I will go in and see if I can get a cabin for us?” Daylyn said as she started to get out of the car.
"Okay." Angel said.
Daylyn walked into the cabin and walked to the front desk. She rang the bell that was on the desk.
"It may take them awhile to get here. It took them forever to come and serve me." Someone said from behind her. Daylyn turned around to look at the person who was talking to her.
"Thanks." She said to him. "By the way, my name is Daylyn. What's yours?"
"My name is Brian. Are you planning on renting a cabin?” Brian asked her.
"Yes. My friends and I are planning on staying here if there is room for us." Daylyn said to him.
"Oh where are your friends?" Brian asked her, looking around to see if he could see anyone else in the cabin but they were the only two there.
"Well they are waiting for me in the car." Daylyn said pointing outside to where the car was.
"Brian are you going to come back to the cabin or are we going to start playing poker without you?" Nick said coming up behind Daylyn, not realizing that it was she.
Daylyn recognized the voice and turned around and gave him a big hug.
"Hi. I did not know that you were going to stay here.” Nick said to Daylyn as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Well I am not for sure if we are because the desk clerk will not come." Daylyn said ringing the bell on the desk once again.
"Can I help you with something?" The desk clerk asked when he came out of the back room.
"Yes I was wondering if there are any cabins free?" Daylyn asked the desk clerk.
"Yes there is one left with 4 bedrooms." The desk clerk said to Daylyn.
"Great, that's perfect. I will take it." Daylyn said to the desk clerk. Daylyn signed in and paid for the cabin.
"It is cabin number 7. It is right over there." He said pointing to the cabin and handing the key to Daylyn.
"Thank you." Daylyn said to the desk clerk and walked towards the door.
"Wow that is cool. Your cabin is right next to ours." Nick said with a big smile on his face. He was happy that she was going to be staying close to them so that he would have more time to convince her that they would make a perfect couple.
"Really? Well I guess that I better go and get my friends so that we can settle in." Daylyn said to the guys as she exited the main cabin.
"Okay. " Nick and Brian said as they too left the main cabin and stood there.
When Daylyn got into the car, Cassidy was playing with the radio trying to find a song that she knew while Angel and Callie were sitting in the back of the car talking about the usual, guys.
"Hey. You’re back. Is there any cabin left for us?" Callie asked as Daylyn got back in the car.
"Yes, we got the last one and guess who is staying at these cabins? Nick, AJ and their friends. I was just talking to them and we got the cabin next to them.” Daylyn said.
"Wow that's great." Angel said.
"I can't believe that AJ is staying in the cabin next to us. What are the chances?" Cassidy said with a big smile on her face. She was very happy that AJ was here. She could not wait until tomorrow to see him.
"Well why don't we grab our stuff and go settle in?" Callie said as she got out of the car. The rest of the girls got out of the car and went to the trunk to get out their luggage.
"Here, let me help you." Brian said as he ran over to grab a bag from Cassidy with Nick right behind him. They both grabbed a bag to help the girls out. They all walked over to the cabin and Daylyn unlocked the door. They walked into the room and looked around. To the right was a kitchen. It was a small white kitchen with a table in the middle that sat four. To the left was a big living room with creamy white furniture and a big marble fireplace. Right in front of them was a large, curved, wooden staircase.
"Wow this place is beautiful." Callie said as she looked around the large cabin.
"Yeah it is. I love the fireplace. It is so big and beautiful." Cassidy said.
"Well why don't all of you go and unpack. You can come over to our cabin and play some poker with us if you would like." Brian said to the girls as Nick and him started to head for the door so that they could go and let the girls settle into their cabin. The girls looked at each other, then Angel said "Sure, we would like to come over and play poker with you."
"Okay. Come over when you are ready." Nick said as he gave Daylyn a sweet kiss. Nick and Brian walked out the door and went over to their cabin.
While they were walking to their cabin Brian stopped, bent down, grabbed a clump of snow and launched it at Nick, smacking him right in the back of the head. Nick turned around and started running at Brian, Brian took off for the cabin, opened the door and slammed it just as Nick was coming up the porch. Nick ran into the cabin and started gaining on Brian. They both ran into the living room and grabbed pillows and started a huge pillow fight. The other guys came in to see what all the noise was and saw Nick hitting Brian in the head with a pillow. The others started laughing and then they joined in. All of a sudden the pillow from Howie's hand slipped and went flying and knocked over one of the lamps near the couch.
"I give up." Brian yelled from underneath a bunch of flying pillows.
The guys started to break up the pillow fight and Nick suddenly remembered about the girls staying next door.
"You will never guess who is staying here." Nick said as he jumped up from where he was sitting.
A.J leaned back against the couch and the first person that popped into his mind was Cassidy but he realized that there was a million and one chance that it could be her. But he still couldn't stop thinking about the way she felt in his arms, or the way she stroked his hair while he was sleeping on the plane. Suddenly he was hit by a pillow and woke up from his daydreaming.
"Hey. Who did that?" AJ asked Nick as he looked up at him.
Nick looked at him and knew what he was thinking. A huge smile came across his face.
"Cassidy, Daylyn and their friends, they’re coming over here after they finish unpacking." Nick told AJ.
A huge smile came across A.J's face and his eyes lit up.
"You’re kidding?" AJ asked Nick.
"No. Brian and I saw them in the main cabin. They have the cabin right next to us." Nick said as he saw that AJ's face lit up even more.
"How long do you think it will take for them to unpack?" AJ asked Nick.
"I don't know. Why?" Nick asked with a curious look on his face.
"No reason." AJ said. "Oh, I just remembered, I have to go and do something. I will see you guys later. Bye."
Nick was about to say something to AJ but he was too late because AJ was already out the door. Nick was curious what AJ was going to do but he decided to forget about it and he hit Howie in the back of the head with a pillow.
"Hey. What was that for?" Howie asked with a curious look on his face.
"I just felt like hitting someone and you were around." Nick said as he hit Howie again.
"That's it." Howie said as he went to hit Nick but missed and hit Kevin in the back of the head.
There was a huge pillow and all four of the guys were hitting each other.
