WOW. Fiona Apple just played here and I got to meet her! She TOUCHED ME!!! SHE ACTUALLY TOUCHED ME!!! She is such an awesome performerand she kicked major ass even though she said she was sick. She came out and played "On the Bound" and said, "I don't know what to say, so I'm going to talk in a funny accent so it will sound interesting," in her best french impersonation. She played these songs, but not in this order... Shadow Boxer, On the Bound, Limp, To Your Love, A mistake, Get Gone, Criminal, Sullen Girl, Sleep to Dream, Love Ridden Most of the songs were from the latest album, which I absolutely love, just like I did the first. In the middle of a song a handicapped midgit came on stage and scared the crap out of her. She stopped singing and said, "How the fuck did you get onstage??!?" Three security guards took him off the stage and put an end to his flamboyant dancing routine. She totally stopped the song and said, "I really don't know what to say to that! I'm not used to people fucking coming onstage! I had my eyes closed and all of a sudden there you were. What the fuck am I supposed to say to that??? Well now you have to do omething interesting since you came up here and stopped my show!" She is hillariously laughing while saying this all, and don't take it the wrong way, she wasn't being mean, she was being hillarious. She falls over, literally, onstage and has to sit down because she is laughing so hard! She says, "I don't know what to say now. (thinks while laughing for a few minutes) I KNOW! I'll introduce you to the band. You already know my choreographer," and poin s to the midget. She dances so interesting it's awesome while singing. I waited an hour, met the band including the drummer Matt Chamberlain who drums for Tori and I got to hug him. Finally after waiting 30 more minutes she comes outside. She is shocked that like 40 people are out there, and i am in the VERY FRONT!!! She came out and jumped back. She came around and graciously signed almost everyones ticket stubs and tee-shirts. She got to me and I was absolutely shaking! She asked me how i liked the show, and I said i loved it, you are amazing, I love you we all love you! She said, "Aww thanks." I told her what an inspiration she was to me. She signed my ticket stub and touched e! She touched me!!! She acted a bit scared and meek, but so nice in person, she is so small too, you just want to hug her shes so cool. Well, email me if you want to comment. I thought that she was so beatiful and talented. Then one of my friends had her CD, and I listened to it like crazy. So, you can kinda say that I was a fan before it was "kool" t be a fan. I have gone through many of the problems that she has had, and I can very much relate to her music. It makes me feel alot better to know that a "famous" person has had these experiences too, and is not afraid of society or Hollywood to talk abo t it. I have gone to one of her concerts, and it was in a very small theatre. I have to say that was the best thing that I have ever done in my life. I was so close to her, and to hear the music live with her great piano playing was so wonderful. It reall changed my life. To hear her sing "Never is a Promise" live just touched my heart so much, that I did cry... I have a poster of her from Sony that my boss got for me (I work at a CD store). He said that he got it from the Sony publicity lady, and that they are not sold anywhere, they are only to be put up in stores... I look at this poster all the time, and some ay dreaming about meeting my idol and role model. Who knows? Maybe I will one day, and I will tell her how she touched me so deep.
