Studio Notes & Comments: Somewhere out there between hard rock and heavy metal, this instrumental effort was all about me having fun. The chorus section starts off with twin harmony guitar lines over a powerchord sequence and I guess I had Thin Lizzy or UFO in my head when I was writing this. The verse parts have a heavy, blusey type of riff, which I ended up triple-tracking the guitars on. This was a new experience for me and I discovered that it does wonders for tightning up your playing! The middle section breaks into a decidedly thrash-metal style of riff (I had lots of fun programming the drum machine for this bit!), over which the main guitar solo was played. The basic track ended up as the song "Gimme That Girl", with Jimmy singing on it, but I decided to make a copy of it and make it into an instrumental piece. I basically just played guitar all over the bits that have vocals on the other version and it was really just an excuse to have some real fun playing with my Kramer Baretta. The piece was named after Justin Case, who is mine and Gail's favourite male pet rat!
