Studio Notes & Comments: EY unplugged?! Well, not quite, but this medium-pace ballad (about someone receiving a very unexpected phone call from an "ex") is based strongly around the acoustic guitar. This was the recording debut for the new Ibanez AE30 acoustic/elecric guitar.....and very nice it sounded too! The song has a simple chord structure, but also has a strong melody line, which is complemented by a rather nice arrangement with the bass and keyboards. A soaring, melodic guitar lead rounds the song off and the overall result is another "great Electric Yoghurt hit that never was"!! (p.s. the vocals were re-recorded in November '99 using our new Audio-Technica MB4000C condenser microphone)
