Well, here we go then with the review... the whole thing started bad, we got trapped in traffic for 1 1/2 hour, and once arrived, were not allowed on the parkings as everything was full ... indeed, we arrived far too late, the Man Himself was already busy ...
The show itself had -except for I'm so happy I can't stop crying- no real surprises ... same setlist. Well, maybe two: Roxanne was started in a semi-acoustic way and Manu screwed up during Fields of Gold ...
As for the rest, sorry to say but it was a boring show as the audience were like sacks of potatoes (do u get what I mean LJB???). Jason Robello did an awful job during Englishman in New York and When the world is running down.
Just almost 4 years ago, I saw Kenny Kirkland perform like a real musical angel in the same hall, and he was GOOOD (but MF sucks Fred!). A pity too that we got snapped with the recording devices now that was fun I can tell you ... two guys rushing through the audience real fun. A good thing that we are so sportive , ha!
And comment from Bernard: that male vocalist looks like a real fart, remember LJB? His dancing hadn't improved I can tell you ! But Bernard saw quite some pretty chicks and he wants the addresses of the blond girls that were staring at him when lining up to get out and rush for a "braadworst"...
Also saw our "bert and ernie aka Paul and Andy" guys from the UK, who still remembered the nice time in Lille during the first European gig over there... and were looking out for the Rotterdam gigs and the Hawaiian shows. Even asked if we were going??! Oh YES, of course! ha ha ha ...
And did he fake the bass?? ... we know the answer ... he had it in his hands!
Well, as we just came home, we put Lille 2000 on, and boooooooooy, that was a good gig with Sting, LJB, LGG and LBB!! Okay, that's it for now, up to Rotterdam on Friday, Bernard is trying his best not to fall asleep during IMSHICSC and Perfect love ... gone wrong!
