Yesterday I saw Sting in Pesaro, the second concert of the new 'Brand New Day Italian tour'.
He was great as usual, with no many differences from the Milano show in January; he didn't sing 'Message In A Bottle', and the set list was the same as other concerts.
New 'Roxanne' version with 'Can't Stand Losing You' bass-line during improvisation!
The colours of the shirt and trousers was 'green military', and that remembered me the first Police days, when he was wearing that army dress (how do you call it?).
Lydia, Barbara and I were the wildest people at the show, together with some other Italian bees like Achille, Massimo and Marco and two other girls from Rome, and at the very end of the show Sting came right near us and made a special bow, looking straight at us!
I had no chance to meet him (I was working at the exhibition and the Police week-end of the city of Pesaro); it all went very well, and many newspapers were talking about it; the television came to the exhibition!
Lydia could get into the venue to see the rehearsals and had the chance to talk a little to the man himself (she was almost dying.....)!
By the way, everyone who wants to talk to Lydia or send messages, consider my e-mail, as she has no e-mail...and we are as one (we called each other thirty times a day)!
Support band was Niccolò Fabi.
The show started at 21:20 and lasted a couple of hours.
