Yesterday I went to Florence to see Sting live; the show was very good, he didn't play 'A Thousand Year', starting with 'If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free', and following the usual setlist.
The only words he said (in Italian) were: 'We are very happy to play in this city, it's very special for us, Florence, Tuscany'; remember his house is about 15 minutes from where he played.
28.000 tickets sold (it was sold out) at the Parco delle Cascine, a beautiful park in the city.
Me and Lydia have been invited to talk to him in his dressing room, so this time, even if for only ten minutes, we could talk to him very easily, in a place were no-one could told us to go away or something like that; of course, ten minutes later, we have been invited to leave the dressing room, but we were absolutely happy to say 'ciao' and thank him and the band (they were all inside).
Some of my friends met him today in Verona, at an art exhibition, and I'll let you know more about it in a few days.
