What a great show. I can not believe how completely astounding that stage is. It is on the edge of this huge gorge. These huge storm clouds were rolling over, but it never rained. The sun poked in and out throughout the evening. It was like a concert on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Completely beautiful with wonderful music. My date wished that I was her absent boyfriend. Sort of put a damper on things, considering I flew 800 miles to be with her.
It was a GREAT show for Police fans. I won't spoil it, but he played some very distinct Police tunes that you wouldn't have expected him to. He played my favorite tracks off of Turtles and "Nothing" too (ie: these aren't the released singles I'm talking about!!). A great TWO HOUR performance (yes, my tape ran out before the last song, "Fragile", *sigh*).
