It is after 12:30 am and I just can't sleep. I just came from the Raleigh, NC concert. I had AWESOME seats, dead center about 16 rows back. Who cares that I wasn't close enough to touch him! I've waited a long time for my first concert. Something always worked against me on his other tours. Who cares if someone else doesn't like it? Who cares if he may not have been "top notch" in someone's opinion (definately not mine)? I just have to tell you that I LOVE this man and his music and his band. WOW. And, to make my entire concert experience perfect...when I held up my sign, he nodded and smiled at me, I was in heaven! He played a great mix of old and new. He had a great level of energy. And, the crowd just ate him up! You could tell when he was leaving the stage that he was impressed with the audience's reaction/participation. He looked like he was having the time of his life up there. That's what I wanted to see, a musician enjoying his talent.
I just needed to share. I know I'm among others who will appreciate my excitement. Geez...I feel like a stupid teeeny-bopper again (I'm over 30). Sting rocks!
