My first christmas away from home in 26 years. I have gate guard duty from 0830 to 1300. Isn't that just *special*. being Single, in the service, and away from home = you lose. End of story. I was worried about being all swept up in holiday cheer and getting all depressed because I am here in Japan...but I think my company took care of that for me...I don't have time to get all mopey and depressed...1 Dec I have Gate Guard. 7 Dec I have staff duty. 10 Dec I have gate guard. Christmas I have gate guard... and who knows what other details I've been pegged into without realizing it yet. not to mention whatever further heaches/problem children I get to handle at work... yay me. Thanksgiving came and went--four days of fun, sun, and booze. Got really tanked up on Thursday--really proud that I held off on posting some rambling entry too...and believe you me I had a few things to ramble about that night... I have two and a half years until my ten year high school reunion. What

I'm thinking it's about time I upgraded this LJ to a paid account...it's what, like $25 a year or something like that? ridiculously cheap...especially since I pay $32 a month just for basic 120 hour/month ISP services, w/o even having my own web space, despite my last email inquirying why I didn't have that webspace I was supposed to have... I still haven't gotten my D8 back from that hickville "DAT specialist" at Appalachian Pro Audio either. I knew I couldn't trust my deck to any shop named "Appalachian". Sigh. They (and consumer affairs) are most certainly going to get a whole lot of hell from me if they try to charge me some ridiculous sum after all this time. It has been four months since I sent my Deck to them. I'm starting to plan out my next vacation...the last one I plan on taking in the service--it's gonna be this huge month and a half long blitcrieg of countries--Thailand, Korea, China, India, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, all being on the possible list. Trying to start in on it all now so I can have it all straight by the time I go... current mood: bored
