So my Schoeps arrived yesterday. Yay! They are absolutely pristine. :) I must say, they're smaller than I remembered from my few times seeing a set IRL. I am beginning to think I can stealth them w/o active cables and just caps in the hat they're so small in fact. So yeah...I dropped another grand on a preamp, cables, and "stealthing hat" so I can actually USE the mics...can't wait for all THAT shite to arrive now. Having money is grand :) All my coworkers have been razzing me lately about women and getting a girlfriend or just "getting some pussy". I've explained to them I'm not LOOKING for a girlfriend, that I have no desire to just "hook up with someone", and I'm waiting for the right gal...who I don't plan to even look for/meet/bump into on a crowded corner and spill my coffee on myself or her until I get back stateside. How is that such a hard concept to comprehend? Granted...it'd be nice to see what I've been missing out on all these years...but nice only goes so far. It's a gorgeous day outside, sunny, next to no waves...supposed to go diving later...I will FINALLY get a chance to try out my diving camera. Wahoo! Jeez...I had such better hopes for this entry last night before I went out...can't seem to remember anything worth saying though. Ah well easy come easy go. current mood: awake

And my damn dive buddy got held up at work so I never went out yesterday...and today of course the weather is crummy :(
